Why Server is Half Empty?

Oh, yes! The almighty farming events will bring salvation (not the update ) to the game. Praise the Lord!!onejuan!
The same farming events that have horrible (as low) drop rate for the QI and a reward list that is a mile long, filled with garbage apart from one or two top items that "no one ever gets".

What next? EXP Events? Those are amazing aswell!
People using every exp boost possible to blaze past those pesky levels when the highest gear they have is Paulina. (sigh)

How is anyone supposed to look for new players for a game like this?

GAME OF THRONES ONLINE? COUNT ME THE **** IN!

 

That is not the real reason, you know. When did WOW come out? How many active players does that game have? Around 4.5 to 5.5 million? Well, perhaps not that many, excluding bots... but you can see, age has nothing to do with it. Introducing too much unlucky p2w to way too grindy a game is the issue, so it's the game development and management that matter.

 

But it IS a big issue..
Stuff like mobs being just punching bags that you must out-punch in order to win or the need to have an extra account with a buffer running behind you (all hail the waifu class!) because your character is otherwise incapable of doing any fighting related activity. Or having pvp be about gear (quantity and quality) and RNG (is the skill gonna crit? maybe the debuff will land!) and on and on.. The point is, this old game is just old.

I dont play WoW, never did and never will (my eyes cant stand all those colors and the game's artistic design), but it seems to be that WoW still receives beefy updates that gives players a bunch of stuff to do.
Lineage 2 on the other hand does L2Store updates, introducing imba items people must buy to stay on top and game updates that are a joke. (reused areas with reused monster design and oh!, more factions for people to farm)

WoW is still subscription based, wich also has the effect of chaining people into it because they dont want to "lose" the time and money they have put into the game all these years. I wont talk about the gameplay since i know (pretty much) nothing about the game, but at least the game is made/owned by Blizard, the good guys (right..) of the gaming world.
Lineage 2 is made/owned by NCSoft, lol.

Just compare the investment NCSoft made in marketing their new mobile game, paying streamers left and right and to rent Conan O'Brian, and then what they spend improving this game.
And yes, mobile games make a lot of money, but Lineage 2 still makes some.
Like Jim Sterling once said. " They dont want money, they want all the money!"

 

Hmmm, I guess the solution to all that problems is to quit! Yes, I know the game it's like that, but we cant change the game. If I wanted something different I would play a different game. I was hoping to hear a good solution to help the server not change the game, people play Lineage 2 because they like it not because they don't like all it (right?)
If the people were more helpful in Core and trying to be nice to new players and make them stay, I guess that would help a bit. (I don't ask or expect from GM's to help our community to rise again, we must do that!! GM's are like a government they are powerful they can do the changes but the people are that have the power to do big changes!! We need to use that power and with some support of GM's make the server Core-Ramona alive again!!

 

i think because a lot of players is in NA Chronos now, because there u can open 3 box without PA, and a little more hard that here, all day the party matchs are full there , but here on Core ser is full empty

 

For all you have done (getting our money) and you haven't done (all the rest). This last joke patch update just prove once again than monkeys can do better than your team. Salvation is up and still not a patch note. Wait, we will get for the next update right ?
You can make a shiitty afk event to show some good stat of "online" account logged and make a promo on PA, you won't fool me. The game is not what I'm looking for, the team management is a joke and some players make this game even worst. But it's fine, those same players will run your server until they stand alone on it.

My 3 PA end this week so I'm out. Good luck.

 

Oh shut up already all of you scrubs about donors, l2store, bla-bla no adena from game, 'i'm so poor, boo hoo!', etc...

I will have you know that some people (myself included) farmed all their gear from 0 in-game without relying on l2store, or controlling raid bosses alone, or other big adena making scheme.

There ARE ways of making adena legitimately, be it by farming, trading, 1-2-3 lucky tarot cards when you can spare the adena to play, instances with friends, and more.
Don't blame others for your misfortune and lack of know-how on the matter.

The game is very old by now, if you haven't mastered the art of gearing up yet, then you should go play tetris... This game is not for you.

 

Or just join Skelth and have some fun with open world (no instances) and no l2store. That's why this server has online like Core in old times

Lineage 2 is a grind game. You don't grind, you just farm l2store, in a way or an other it's the same. I did it too ofc. Just wanted to point how good you are on the forum at trying to look cool.

Btw, I'm a geared ISS/Sigel and the matter about some players is not about them gearing with l2store and real money (without them, server could not stand up and we could not play). But you are just a sheep. Give more explanation to someone like you it's useless if you didn't understand from the begining what I'm talking about. If I do, the post will surely be deleted because that team won't accept it and more nerd like you will spam anyway.

Since then, I don't need to answer any of those type of post. Better things to do. Yeah yeah, I know, a trash like me better leave that game and stop answring on post blablabla ...

At least he/she didnt sugest new players and players with "no mastery in the art of gearing up" to log into their MMORPG and roleplay a stockbroker..

almost yeaar ago there for sure was more ppl, few ays ago logged and seen thet my friend list lvled up, i was 101, they now 102-104, but last was logged 3 month ago, all leaved. free to p]l[ay strategy i guess, some ppl went classic coz main l2 chronic pretty dead atm, just "events" and daily instances

 

The thread is about server being less and less populated, people point out why. Your argument doesn't explain why we had 200vs200 pvp, and now not even a mass pvp includes 150 ppl in it(we have one of the least populated oficial servers of all regions even tho privates are/were flooded with europeans, specialy greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeks), much less in each side.

I find unlikely the "art of gearing up" has anything to do with this server not holding more than 400 active online, when u have hundreds of thousands of players who played this game.

 

There are too many things to say on the matter of server going downhill really. So i'll try to keep it short, if i can.

Yes, server policies are bad (but you agree to them everytime you press the Play button), yes staff is slacking (you are not their boss, NCSoft is, go cry to them), yes p2w is bad and not fair (if you cannot invest money yourself, then deal with it, QUIETLY if possible thank you, we don't need every frustrated nerd coming on forums to complain about it, we know, yet we play anyway, can't you do the same - you weak-willed trollup?)

Let's not sugar coat it too much boys and girls, the community svcks just as much as everything else and it contributed to server arriving to the state it finds itself in today just as much as the ones running it allowed it to happen.

To play or not to play? That is the question. Answer it for yourself; go with the answer.
