Strange FPS drops

I Have a strange problem after i start playing on my new PC, sometimes i have a strange fps drops to maybe 20-30, sometimes for 30/40 another time 2/3 minutes or even cant handle this without game restart, this happen in many situations hitting mobs/standing/sitting with store or even move camera in open field, sometimes whole day is perfect other day i must restart client after 2-3 hours. my PC: Core i7 8700K 16GB DDR GTX1070Ti and M.2 drive...

I tried:

- Move pagefile to SSD dont work
- Turn of Vsync - dont work

 

L2 is on very old engine, no matter what pc You will get always you will have fps drop.
Its just not written well for new PCs
Engine used in l2 use just power from 1 core of yuor CPU and its berlly supported by graph card.

 

But this is not a issue

The same thing happend also on ALT+P, one day i have stable 60 fps at max detalils at aden/rune siege next day i have 5 fps standing in CH for few minutes and then back to normal

 

u were just told its very old game, and its not optimized for new pc's..
10 years ago with crappy pc's ppl were having 30-50 fps (20 at populated town) now with newest hardware they still have same fps, just faster load times with ssd's and nicer graphics since new gpu's can handle the bling

 

Try to use Memory Cleaner

 

I see that you have high end specs in your pc, do you use high refresh or Gsync monitor? it sounds irrelevant but I had significant issues with Gsync and L2.

 

I'm using amd free sync and 72 mhz refresh

 

Alright, try this just in any case. Deactivate freesync and optimise the options of the game with the same refresh rate of your monitor. Also try to check if the situation is getting better on fullscreen or windowed mode.

 

I hade something like a similar problem...everytime I was opening my laptop..after few minutes I had something like 5-15 mins of fps drop to 15-20 fps then suddenly everything was working ok. After some research I discovered that my pc had a hidden bitcoin miner because latest versions of uTorrent have bitcoin miner in it "by default". I advice you also to scan with malwarebytes because is also possible to have mining script even in your browser or maybe other malware.

 

But this is brand new PC and this **** happend from the 1 day after i bought it, when i have clear windows, drivers, anytyvirus and l2 only

amd free seen turning off also dont work...

 

I see its hard to accept that this game dont care if PC is new or not xD

 

How u are using amd free sync with Intel procesor and nvidia card ? for nvidia is G-SYNC

 

intel or any cpu has nothing to free or g sync. its a connection between gpu and monitor. and just this gpu and monitor has to be able to use this feature

 

After i change game from full screen to full window problem dissappear
