Heya, folks, this is a very informal update on what's going on behind the curtains and nothing on this post is confirmed so far, but I wanted to keep you updated on our current work.

    1) Update translation hasn't arrived yet, so we just browse and translate the patchnotes and prepare for the testing. Expected arrival is summer, I will be able to tell when we get the version for testing.
One of the most interesting questions is "If the EXP table was changed", what we see in the docs looks promising, but we do want to get our hands on the build to be sure before posting anything about that. Please don't hype about that in advance.

    2) The hungry horse event is planned to be installed next maintenance on May 30. (ok, this one is pretty confirmed)

    3) We have a very intense discussion with our team about the possible help to the new players. At the moment our most probable options are:
    - decreasing the post-95 buff cost and
    - adding a sort of "newbie help box" that will contain gear/items to help people progress through 95 - to 101. The data we have on "Heroes Welcome" boxes is optimistic, so we'd like to try the same kind of approach but in a more systematic way, without spoiling the effect we get from the "Heroes Welcome" promo.
One of the forum threads gave me the specific info I needed to push this question, so I'd like to thank @mYzor for taking time and posting his insights and calculations as well as @andrius3022 for logging his adventure on video to compliment that.
If you think you have something to say about that "newbie box", please post in the comments below, I'll be gathering feedback until the end of the week, so we could file a proposal to the dev team about that. Can't promise anything on this as it requires two sides to agree on everything - us and the dev team.

    4) PA and Exalted fishing. We have requested fishing quests to be removed from the obligatory quest line so people who don't have PA could proceed with their Exalted quests. At the moment the request hasn't been processed yet, so again, no promise here.

    5) Dimensional content with 1 server: unfortunately we don't have any status on this yet, so we're still waiting for the devs to update us on this.

    6) Random bosses spawn. The feedback we got so far is negative, so we're searching for a better solution to offer to the devs. To clarify this: it's not a new feature added, it was a fix that was applied to what was supposed to be working when this was introduced several years ago. If you have anything to say on that, feel free to do so in the comments below.

    7) Recent "info leak about the sudden introduction of the ancient cloaks". While I can't be sure when we're going to get everything from the possible L2Store options and what form will be chosen to introduce them, I can safely say that at the moment (on May 21st, 2018) we have no plans on introducing the Ancient Kingdom cloaks. Not in the nearest future.

The idea to add a random window of time to world bosses such as dragons is actually a good idea to avoid the click war. How ever +/- 3 days is totally crazy, something like +/- 30 minutes would be much better.

More like +-3hours. 1h window is still too small and give opportunity for avoid pvp and do obstructions.

Also camping and protecting and pulling away boxes for 6 hours is similar to old chronicles, so people should be used to it.
Doing it 6 days is crazy.

Why don't you guys add carrots in L2 Store like NCWest does? It's needed even more now since the event is nerfed after the horse removal.

People who played the game in the old chronicle have grown up, I don't think there is many people who want to be camping a raid for 6h, 1-2h window would be fine, it leaves time to fight.

Best respawn for all RBs including epics, IMO, should be close to the prime time of a server and as a 1-2 hours window(for epics or all RBs maybe). For example during or before CoC/Oly and for sure before Sieges.
Having to fight at early morning hours for RBs as a European, timezone-wise, in an EU server is pretty ridiculous. When you count on people buying L2 Store you should expect them to also go to work in the morning.

A lot of people are also working shift. Not everyone works in the morning.

I agree, there are also people who expect to earn a living from the game, unemployed people and inherently rich people. But when it's time to make a decision it needs to cater the majority since you can't please everybody.
Indeed there are, and what we propose should make their lives very difficult for that matter.

+/- 3 days on dragons and others is ridiculous imo.. if you want to get more pvp to the server, put few hours max, but if you put days, you are just killing completly the pvp for those..

That is actually good idea...all raids to be in prime time with a small window like +-30 minutes.

My basic idea is making things like farming, events and L2 Store more available to more people. Breaking monopoly/oligopoly helps every economy not only L2's.

Every time there's a calculated amount of event items to be input to the game, it is regulated by tick count (how often) and drop count(how many), so we can predict more or less how many items will be farmed and exchanged (like not more than X). If we put carrots to L2store, it means the overall drop rate will be worse, because we have to keep the input amount (not more than X) the same. Also, it will ruin the whole idea of an in-game event where you actually have to go and farm them in open locations, have fun, try to PvP, you know what I'm talking about. So we prefer to not mix L2Store promos and in-game events.

So you are saying if an event gives out lindvior earring with really low chance, you set that, for exemple, not more than 4 lindvior earrings drop during the 2 weeks of event, and if they drop in the first 2 days, the other 12 days people will have no chance at all to get them? I though it was completly random, or maybe I understood wrong..

It was always like that for events and l2store, so they can control the supply of items, otherwise too many of us can obtain those and "screw the economy".

P.S: Also this is probably a good reason if you participate in any of this, to do it on first day as observations of people from NCWest servers confirm.

It seems like they do think about everything. It is not only about chance only ( O N L Y ?). It is about a certain amount that can't be surpassed on the "success column"( Korean server had an 'event' that rewarded people after failing X times, and the person who failed more times got the top prize anyway). If the same logic is aplied to both farming events ( which consists on event item drops from mobs) and the rewarding part ( exchanging said items for the pouchs to be opened for rewards), we are doomed.

There is no way in the near future that companies can continue acting like that: putting looting boxes ( open this at a certain chance and you might get something good!) without telling the estimated chances (hello, China).

I remember on ncwest, first event that had chance for lindvior earring, 1 guy put 50$ and got earring, sold for 6k$. After a lot of ppl started buying, adding 2-3k$ to try this event, all got nothing.
If only they knew there was a limit for 1 earring for that event I guess, they'd know they had no more chances to get earring and wouldn't spend anything anymore.
It was after hearing about that that I started to suspect this, but ty for confirming. It's nice to see some of the hidden settings of l2 store promotions.
