Still 95 (no hurry on levelling)
As every day, Seed of Annihilation 3 quests:https://l2wiki.com/Not_Strong_Enough_Alone, https://l2wiki.com/Completely_Lost and https://l2wiki.com/Finding_the_Lost_Soldiers.
Followed by Solo Kartia, https://l2wiki.com/Dimensional_Rift, https://l2wiki.com/Kicking_Out_Unwelcome_Guests and Party Kartia 95 to get some XP.
It is a good idea to always check instances and do Istina and Octavis whenever it is available. In my case, I could go and kill https://l2wiki.com/Octavis


Some of the discussed topics/complain:

• Shortage of Istina/Octavis jewels. It is considered as low epics and over the years drop rate of these epics was nerfed to almost 0. It would be nice if the Istina/Octavis jewels would drop way common, dropping the price and making them way more accessible for new players.
• And once again lack of buffs from clan hall, not obtainable elixirs of blessing.
• Players flood in Aden white chat with macro (I and some others are straight away /block such players) and even worse - making party rooms with shop titles. PEOPLE!! IT IS NOT MADE FOR THAT! USE "!" or "&" INSTEAD! Noone is checking party rooms in order to buy or sell that, Auction house or Aden ground is for that.

Several tips for a day:

• If you are 85-94 always take Solo kartia quest and do it every day to get Scroll of escape to Kartia (AKA free tp to aden).
• Whenever you go and do the quest in the certain area, check around, maybe check L2Wiki.com to see maybe there is a small quest at your area/level that you can make on the side.
• If you are 95+ never forget to participate in https://l2wiki.com/Keucereus_Alliance_Base_Defence - it is extremely easy and can provide an amazing amount of income.
• And to repeat again: Always do https://l2wiki.com/Dimensional_Rift dailies.
• Once you hit 95 teleports are not free anymore and to avoid spending a fortune for them, use clan hall or use nobless teleport to Gludio arena, Giran arena or Coliseum and then use Scroll of escape to appear in Gludio, Giran and Aden respectively and continue your journey from there. Will not get rich from that but will save 20-80k each time.

@darthblade I know and have hopes they will introduce basic buffs in CH or easy ability to craft elixirs/cookies.

What is that, where is that?

 

clanhall npc. do faction quest, get medal. put in cwh. collect 140 or 280 and get buffer for 1 week. with 70 peoples clan you can get it every 2 weeks. this feature available since long time ago.

 

Basic stuff.. but you need someone to make 140 faction quests... Not many clans are capable to do that, and the ones that are - don't care about clan hall buffer. And it is only for 7 days. So every week 140 faction items - mission impossible for 90% of clans.

Had enormous struggle while making my Dimensional Gap and Seal of Shilen daily buff-less... Where are old good orcs with "WTS buffs in Aden" :/ Since it is hard life buff-less - spend rest of time doing content with my dual class. Annihilation, Zaken.
Smal tip, after making instance ask ISS:"Maybe you could make rebuff after" and during that 30 min will manage to make one or few quests. Even better - offer for iss to make a quest for him as well.

Tbh you are really brave. 99% of l2 population gave up at day 29

 

From my point of view the experiment is already over. I don't know how long he would have kept going after 95 if it wasn't for the two viewers that provide him buffs from time to time. As a no name player, go in Aden and ask for buffs. None will give you, even when so many box an Iss. Finding players to do instances is even harder than before, no matter that you need dd/iss/healer as members. There are either not many players in this game or everyone is going solo. After finding people and doing your group Kartia you won't have buffs most times, as everyone is in hurry and they just 'ty, bye /leave'. It was mentioned somewhere that they're thinking of lowering the price of npc buff. That is a good idea, to do your small quests at least, but realistically speaking, even halving the price would be no point for me. None of these small quests gives you 5mil adena per hour to pay for buffs, and lets not forget about paying for consumables like shots, or saving for gear. They can't make the free either, as it seems the most valuable thing from having PA. It's probably all just me but hopefully other player's experience won't be like this and have better experience than mine.

 

I'd like to see what gear you are able to afford for those 95+ subs when r grade 30-day runs out, keeping in mind a big chunk of adenski is from farming old content (0.5% to get that bow in party or so, many won't be this lucky, nor sell it for 3x base price) and selling an useless item for transmog..

@ugabugah- 101+ you are making 5 mil per hour... for sure.. but people who play till this level will have boxes and you will be in a party so won't buy buff in town anyway. What people need is buffs for things <100 (gap, sos, other low lvl solo-ish places) that don't cost as much. Also this "much" changes with inflation and deflation. As prices fall adena becomes more and more valuable.
Preferably there could be some sort of automatic system that monitors server-wide adena amount and it's velocity to adjust npc prices accordingly (yyyy...... and than I woke up).

 

this game is not friendly for new players. it's like 30d demo version game, if you want see more content you must invest € and/or a lot time.

anyone who tells you otherwise it's because:

1) Has invested too much to give up right now, or cant find buyer, so they lie to themselves
2) Has interest in people spending money as zombies, for profit ofc, basically like ncsoft

 

like in l2 there were free buffs at max level and easy obtainable gear ever. You people are not lineagers. Go play wow or something.

As usual dailies: Checking Freya/Zaken and doing it with dual-class whenever it is ready. Making Seed of Annihilation, Harnak dailies. With the main K95 party and Dimensional Gap. Stil having hopes to meet https://l2wiki.com/Dimension_Dissolver.
Since it was Saturday Oly! Oly! OLY! GE and chance to get tons of https://l2wiki.com/Superior_Giant's_Codex.

Complains for the day:
People are really missing old spoiling/crafting system. That had a goal... You were farming, trading, spoiling materials and crafting items. Many people stated it was their hobby IG. Myself I absolutely loved crafting. It was by far the most interesting part of the game.
Bring back the spoils and MAKE CRAFTING GREAT AGAIN!

Tip:
At 99+ don't skip https://l2wiki.com/Ashen_Shadow_Revolutionaries instance. At the moment people are going there only for https://l2wiki.com/Dwarf_Spy. But People tend to forget https://l2wiki.com/Scroll:_Enchant_Shadow_Weapon. It is possible to get 5-10 of them for each party member every time. And that is one of the easiest 20-50kk you can get in 30-60min. And of course with small chance to get https://l2wiki.com/Shadow_Ingot that costs over1 billion.

As usual: K90 solo, K95 party, Dimensional Gap, Seal of Shilen daily. Besides that killed Istina and Octavis.
The idea of the day: When there is no party room for an activity you want to do - MAKE YOUR OWN ROOM!

Some nostalgy vibes for old summoners with 4 cougars or reapers.


Some unmentioned discussion from past:
OLYMPIAD! It is a huge part of a game, where you can have fun, challenge yourself but it was changed few updates before. In order to fight feed waves olympiad match up when you port in rules were changed.
Before Lindvior update it was absolutely random. 20 players port in and you get one out of 19 opponents randomly. YUou could get some afk player, some top farmer or someone +/- like you. It was absolutely random. Fred waves were hard to make since you had to have the huge amount of players signing with you to fill entire wave and let you get your friends.
Now it is different. Your opponent depends on 3 criteria: your ranking last month, your current points and amount of matches done in current period.
In my opinion, it has crucial flaws: it made feed waves even easier, coz all you need to have 1 person with the high amount of points/matches to sign with you and you will get him/her 90% of the time. Also, it took away the fun of olympiad from a lot of players. Since if you want to go and try to have fun inside olympiad - you will end up getting exactly same people that are better oly classes or have way superior gear.
So overall not only it made an existing problem even worse, in addition, it took the beauty of one of the most entertaining parts of the game. Considering that craft and old Olympiad was the most interesting part of the game for me - I start to wonder what the hell I am doing here.

completely irrelevant feature because it is not possible to keep this up. Either tune down required medals BY A LOT or just put buffs to npc like it used to be.
Even in TH it took us months to make 240 medals simply because not everyone will do this quest every day esp. after you got factions lvl6 it has no incentive anymore

I agree with Verb that oly is totally screwed. Its bec of the bad system (why i get top equipped opponents with 100+ points while i have 12 points???) The imbalance of the classes and the feedwaves.
And it killed another nice part of the game.
Why cant it be like that:
In each olyday you have one hour only class based.
And those matches count for hero. One hour only because it makes feedwaves and equipsharing harder.
Next three hours oly is free for all but the matches count only for GEs, questitems, marks, fun, whatever but not for hero.
This way you could have proper true class based heroes, not feeded ones just bec they have their heroskill that they are only needed for...
Also this way you can help smaler clans with clancrp that is so hard to gather.
But the most importand reason to change oly is to bring back FUN to oly.
And a hero should be the best one of his class not the most feeded one...
Make oly great again!

The day was not different from others: Kartia95 Party, Dimensional Gap, Seed of Annihilation, Zaken, Harnak and Mithril Mines dailies.
What was new, is that I finally managed to get a chance to kill https://l2wiki.com/Dimensional_Vagabond and got access to https://l2wiki.com/Dimension_Dissolver. Battle was tough and I got probably the worst possible reward: https://l2wiki.com/Scroll:_Enchant_Weapon_(R-grade). But well Some of the viewers were lucky way more than me and got items worth 80-500kk.

The main problem was a lack of people to make-instance. To make K95 party (of 5 ppl) took over 15 min even with "streamer benefits". Maybe it was just a bad time. Early Monday afternoon is not the best time after all...

Question verb, if you were a new player doing all this, would you say you're having fun playing the game ?

 

That's a subjective question, if you feel your efforts are being rewarded then you'll have fun. FYI most players don't feel that way.

 

Even if you log in at peak time and you aren't a streamer you will end up giving up after 8 hours.
And I don't understand, really, why on innova there's such a problem.
I mean, cmon, almost 1.2k players on ncwest are from EU, there's all the greek community over there.
@CM Fragola Weren't you supposed to have the exclusive right to publish NCSoft L2 in EU? or am I missing something?
Is there some kind of agreement about this between innova and ncwest or what?

That's the major problem from 85 to 99 and then comes the 100-101 wall.

 

I don't think there is a signed agreement between Innova and NCSoft. NCSoft knows NA players are the minority in NCWest, they want to keep the non-NA too so the servers don't completely die and also sell them more expensive L2 Store.
They are probably afraid that an alternative like Core with RU pricing will be good enough for them to migrate here. Too bad they only focus on how to milk existing players rather than bringing players from privates and those who quit official.
