depends on the text and the context. "how to buy in L2Store" - not really, but "you can use maphr's scroll in Kartia when you kill the boss to boost your exp" - is fine in my opinion.

Ima be honest here, the best guide someone could give to newcomers is how to spend money efficiently in order to aquire gear/exp. For example explain how the market works, when and what to buy, which events/promos should wait for, when and how to exp efficiently etc. Let's not kid ourselves though, if people want to play they will with or without guides, unfortunately more and more are constantly forced to quit, we need to focus on the real problems.
I agree. Well it should be a mix. The kepropus' quest line and the market. Eg. leveling a tank with 1 client it's just sadistic. :>
