EVENT Reveal the mysteries of the past with Golden Compass Explorers (Core)

• Right after the maintenance near the Gatekeeper of Gludin Village the Golden Compass Explorers shall appear - Toma and Meirin.
• Ask Toma to teleport to the Merkios’ Altar dungeon.
• Merkios’ Altar is a solo-type instanced dungeon. You can enter it once a day.
• Merkios’ Altar will be available for 4 weeks, after which the explorers will leave Elmoraden till next time.

• Merkios’ Altar is available twice a day: first time - a common entrance, second time - after using the special ticket that can be bought in our L2Store for 200 Million Adena. The ticket can be bought once a day per account.

• Merkios’ Altar is divided into 2 zones – the waiting area and the combat zone.
• As soon as the character enters the combat zone, the battle starts.
• The battle represents itself a coherent defeat of monsters and bosses that attack in waves.
• Zone is considered to be completed when the final boss Merkios is defeated.

​

• The progression through Merkios’ Altar consists of two stages:
  • First stage: character must defeat 10 waves of monsters in 5 minutes. After it appears the interim altar boss Votan, that must be defeated in 3 minutes.
  • Second stage: character must defeat 15 waves of monsters in 10 minutes. After it appears the final altar boss Merkios, that must be defeated in 5 minutes.
• After defeating the previous wave of monsters, the next wave starts immediately.
• While changing the stage grows the difficulty of the zone.
• Due to difference in class ability to defeat monsters, Aeore and Sigel classes have to defeat half other classes number of waves.
• Monster waves appear at 4 points, that are marked with burning torches. At every respawn point up to 10 monsters can appear. The higher difficulty of the stage, the greater the number of monsters will appear from the respawn point.
• The current wave is displayed with the on-screen message:

• If all monster waves are defeated before boss of the stage appearance, waves will repeat until the boss appearance.
• If you can’t cleanup the 1 stage in 5 minutes and the 2 stage in 10 minutes, in the scheduled time boss can appear.
• Votan appears with a certain chance.
• Merkios always appears.
• Depending on the number of defeated monster waves, difficulty of Votan and Merkios changes:

• Votan and Merkios appear under the Unholy Barrier effect, that can be taken down just after making a certain number of hits: 100 hits on Votan and 150 on Merkios (damage doesn’t matter).

​

• Regular altar monsters, that appear in waves, do not drop any items, XP and SP also can’t be gained.
• Small amount of Adena, several drop items and certain amount of XP with SP can be gained from the altar bosses. The loot value depends on the difficulty of the defeated boss:

* Merkios' Marks are added directly to character Inventory.​

• While progressing through the dungeon, you can obtain a special herb after defeating regular monsters at a certain rate, that will help you in the zone:

• Reward for defeating the final boss in the Merkios' Altar will be a special item - Merkios' Mark:

• Mark can be exchanged through a Meirin Merchant for a special item - Lucien's Bracelet. Additionally Adena will be needed.
• In the Meirin’s store you can also purchase enchant scroll exclusively for the Lucien's Bracelet.
• In addition to the special items Meirin can offer several consumables.
• Merkios' Marks can be exchanged until the end of the event – the 19th of December 2018.

• Lucien's Bracelet can be enchanted up to +10. Success rate is 100%.
• Depending on the enchant level different types of bracelets apply the effect to a character:

• Event items have a number of restrictions:

​

• Event will last from the 21st of November to the 19th of December 2018 (08:00 UTC +1).
• Maphr's Rune doesn’t affect the amount of dropped Adena and item drop rate in Merkios' Altar.
• All buffs remain while entering Merkios' Altar.

 

Great event... For stacked and rich ones only since you cant get anything from lower levels (1 GE/day and 2mil adena) and marks are no tradable. And even then its impossible to make +10 bracelet because even if you farm daily 2x you will not farm enough marks lol. Not to mention 8 bil price tag.

So pretty much anyone who does not have gear nor spare 8 bil to blow won't even bother with this event

Getting further away from reality of your own game and servers every day...

 

RU community was mad about this event... Extremely hard, 100+ only, tickets are 200kk, and during 4 weeks all you can get best is +7 (if you do it 2x day and you are extremely lucky to get top RB every time)... and we got exactly same ****

 

not to mention it costs 9b for +7

 

Trying to understand. There is no possibility to make +10 during event.
700 for bracelet and 3500 for make it +10 = 4200 marks
60 is max per inst, 2 times per day = 120 marks.
From today to 21th of December = 31 day
31 * 120 = 3720.
So what is the point to make possible +10, when +7 is the max that can be reached?

To be honest, this is the best way to delete adena from server. No drop from mobs, no drop from boss and no chance for craft. Nice
I think that administration don't know that most ppl on this server don't have this amout of adena at all.

31 days x 200 kk of adena is 6.2 kkk
+10 bracelet (if it's possible) -> 500 kk x10 = 5 kkk
only one event for ppl 100+ and they have to loose 11 kkk of adena for 1 item

While our Server ( Skelth ??? ) is Down, u might fix the "Event" so all ppl can participate and not just the ones stacked to the teeth? lol

 

If you have max LUC and make instance 2x everyday = 3600 mark = bracelet +8 and over event. Unprofitable event .

I see all ppl crying about price, and when they give you 2 times for have this ppl cry again xD
It's simple for me, i do max i can during this event, so +8 or maybe +7, and i will finish it when the next event will come x)
Where is the problem ?

 

You will not make your +7 or +8 because for this you need farm every day 2x isnatnce that makes you 5+/-b for passes and you have to get every day 2x best boss giving 60 oins.... everyone of us know its impossible.
I think max on server at the ond of event if somoene have too much adena will be +5
Also its better to have +4Str than +5% patk...

 

I just wonder.. Why is this an "Event" and not regular (as in, in the game 100% of the time, available for everyone now or later on) piece of content for the game?
It feels like NCSoft took the concept used in the "Ring of Insolence" and made it as limited as they could.
(and ..its only for the stacked high level players, probably, because that is what they are left with in their own home servers. Same with changes to clan leveling, to force the few to band together)

 

Problem that only about 10% of server can do it, another problem, that maybe 5% can get 60 marks constantly and finish +10 in 2 events and only if you buy passes. Most people will get 20/40 marks which means 3-4 events and without passes more like 6-8.

 

But guys by the way we have shirt promo if you dont want to do this crappy instane, just go and buy shirts xDDDDDDDDDDDD because christmas coming and dead server need to be milked
