    on glory days update kamael vilage will be rewamped into 92++ solo spot with instance similar like kartia.dont know about others

    they promised also engine upgrades too, as i know was any test and was a mass pvp stress test with 2k players and the engine upgrade as i heard worked well. so maybe it won't mean problems anymore, but the server vs server sieges where will can appear 5k players too or more if everyone can join to it, still can be brutal lagged.

    but we will see how these stuffs will goes, nowadays they arent speaking about it last infos came up with the engine upgrade or new engine at this winter.

    they are promising that for a long time now soon™ on tauti patch notes they wrote "improved client performance". about mass pvp with 2k players believe than i see it.

    so finally you won't need full party to kill mobs? maybe then, it's worth trying to play l2 again, because now if you don't have tank and healers, you better stay in town...

    they wrote "improved game interface" not client performance; yes koreans plan for inter-server wars and raids but not until they do something about the lag, if l2 won't die until than

    no, actually this game was and will be always created in a way which brings addiction, and the market target won't be consistent of ppl like you, who play 1h / day - which i don't actually believe btw so cute the crop a bit.

    there are a variety of mechanisms in mmos that may encourage obsessive usage, they use well-known behavioral conditioning principles from psychology that reinforce repetitive actions - through an elaborate system of rewards obtained in time/some time sequence. the game also rewards players to perform increasingly harder tasks and seduces the player to “play†industriously. these environments also encourage making friends or joining clans that then become sources of social obligations.

    mmos are slow so u can't actually say playing 1h/day is your fun and damn tauti update crushed it. mmos are seductive because they relieve many common psychological stresses. if you don't find other game u can "relax" in for 1h/day and u still come back to l2, u are the same as someone who plays 10h/day.

    relationship formation
    playing together
    engineering relationships
    growth and change
    addiction
    memorable experiences

    no... sorry you are not the reason why game development develops the way it does, especially if you play 1h/day.

    so sad, so true. but its how mmorpg function, without these so called carrots, which everyone are chasing them, game wouldn't last long, at least for those who "having fun too long"... well it is how it is. :)

    i bit disagree with part that 1 hour isn't equal fun as playing 10 hours. i can't describe it right now, but who played l2 since forever, since its launch should know what i mean.

    hmm,ye the addiction plays a role at a certain point,but not at start.
    here,exactly.

    yea,or those became a partial tollerable distortion for the players who are already used to it?
    most starters would probably not stand it,or avoid to interwine themself with it at all.
    from here comes the casual aspect maybe,but casuals arent a target to be bothered at all with.

    however,from same starting condition you usualy end up having thousands of different developing individual models.
    cant explain this.

    and cant understand seeing the way software houses/devs are going thru completely ignoring the whole of these processes aside from the addiction alone.
    game mechanics itself does not generate any addiction,since a new game is alot harder to masterize and go with.

    p.p.s. anyway i never did or will understand why some certain people have some kind of satisfaction from complaining or negative advertising our server, if u can't say something nice, dont say nothing at all!

    sindeya> oh common, hard core players is always a smaller part of the server community, everybody knows that. u can't be among the leaders if you play 2-3 h/per day, but playing 10 h/per day was "normal" when i was in ~20 years old. now i have lots of exp playing l2, i played it since chronicle1, i know what to do, and where to to keep my level and adena rate proper. and of course this is about my char, when i had lots of playing time i always was dd or nuke, now i am iss, it takes much less playing time, to keep me interesting for other guys. and the money that owner gets is mostly from players like me, cause, you can do the math, i play less, but i pay same money, so auto for me it is more expensive. but, that i play less than you, doesn't mean that i have to settle with less gaming options. let's say i want to see new hunting areas, so why not? make mobs killable for one player too, but it would be hard, and a good lace to go with party. i won't go there all the time, because it won't be efficient, but if i will be bored, maybe i will go there, that is not your concern. all mad players sooner or later becomes like me. wanna know why? cause one day you will have job, family, but once a day, or a week you will till remember how fun it was in game, o than you log on, play for fun, maybe you won't even leave the city, maybe than you will find marketing very interesting, who knows :)

    this was a general idea which included types of players, not player's cases, personal life and reasons, thus:
    -type of arguments fail.

    so game developers target players like you because you play less and pay same as someone who plays more? that's not math, that's not even reasonable, who cares how much you play/pay as long as u pay? and u got all maps and areas and game features opened i dunno what game u are talking about. if you play less you're just a lower potential to pay more, that doesn't mean they get anything extra if u play less.

    this game is developed to be hardcore, it's developed to be addictive and produce hardcore players, it is not and will not be based on casual players.
    ofc as in any complex matter things need to be ballanced, and all kinds of players needs are taken into consideration, i didn't deny they aren't... i just said that casual players aren't the type which game content encourages towards. it's a competitive addictive game which forces you to spend many hours playing it if you want to "be in the game"... you can role-play, you can log ing for chat ofc... but it's a different story.
