The classic version were closed since it was no longer maintened by Korea. There is no plan to re-open such server.
Do you have a source from lineage2.plaync.com of when they ended Classic support? I'm trying but it's very hard to find anything in Korean.
Sadly, I don't have any good source for you and I cannot read Korean. There should be someone more knowledgeable than me, who could help you crawling info in the korean site :c.
I actually got an answer, I was confused with your post and I thought support ended "globally". In Korea it still gets maintained and it's very well alive with only 1 full server but apparently it's not receiving "big updates" as if it was in some kind of "Long Term Service".
There are also three Russian classic servers. I am not sure whether are you allowed to play there or not, but you can try anyway. There are links for the page where you can download the client (https://ru.4game.com/lineage2classic) and classic forum (https://4gameforum.com/categories/1406). You can just use a google translator to navigate through the site. Keep in mind that you need a monthly subscription to play there ~ €3.5.
