logitech setpoint and ctrl shortcut

hi,
i play the game using logitech mouse to set up shortcut and bind them to mouse specific tab,
for this i use logitech software named setpoint.

if in game i set a shortcut to be alt+f1 in example,
and i assing alt+1 to any of my mouse tabs,it works,and keep working.

while,

if in game i set a shortcut to be ctrl+f1,f2...f12 or whatever,just something with ctrl tab in,
and i assign same shortcut to any of my mouse tabs,it works for just few seconds,then it stops working,
may be innova frost stops it?

yes, it's true. if your mouse software uses input emulation (windows api http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms646310(v=vs.85).aspx and the same) for macro-features, frost blocks it (same for clickers / "pilots" / vbs-scripts and so on).

thx for bug-reporting, will be fixed alt-emulation too.

it must be allowed so people can bind keys and shortcut to whatever mouse/keyboard tabs they want.

 

yeah i agree. i just had f8-f12 set on 5 of my mouse buttons but since yesterday i can't use them anymore. it works for like 2 presses but then it just gets disabled.

 

input emulation is not allowed at any form (setpoint or bot or "puntoswitcher" or smth else) by now, sorry (it's a fact for us all). but if the device can use hardware input model (through valid signed driver) for binding or macro-features it's ok (some software from a4 / razer / many others team works fine).

 

so i spent lots of money on my logitech g700 for what???

if you tell me any safe method (or idea) to distinguish "aggressive" emulation from logitech-emulation the system will be fixed for you and other logitech-users.
(don't offer me "by process name" method - it's useless, believe me)

 

we are talking about logitech,
one of the best and most expensive mouse and keyboard out there,
so,probably,is frost that is not updated to include logitech driver.

i just wait for an official answer from innova tech team,

no, anti-emulation option can be switched off at all (for all devices / clickers / bots and so on). "logitech driver" is not a reason in this case.

logitech emulation need a fix, cant understand why a4 and razer works fine and they aren't "aggressive" emulation but a g700 or mx518 binding whatever key is worst than xxxxxx, dont wait more, ppl cant use keyboard on channels too

 

they are not using usermode software emulation at all (only system driver processing)

p.s. a4 x6 series are emulation-drived devices too (but x7 is not) --> just for example!

 

setpoint from logitech always is allowed,you cant disable a legit option for binding a simple f1-f12 in a mouse. you destroy the gameplay of many ppl to prevent a few bots ( or neither )

 

on a4 x7 series u can rewrite the functions of mouse buttons in internal memory. u don't need any software to tell the windows what every button do. u rewrite the internal memory and u can move your mouse on any other computer with or w/o oscar instaled... u have the buttons how u setted them. that's why a4 x7 is working because there is no soft to emulate the keys.

 

who cares , if my mouse use a software not my fault, is the same if l2 works in amd and not for intel, they cant change the requeriments only for a few players

because we are talking about logitech,
not your "near house chinese computer store".
if you are not able to tell the difference between logitech and bot/cp spam software,
it's your fault,and you'll ruin game experience of many legit players this way.

its no ones fault, its a security measure implemented for the security of the "many legit players" and in the same argument many legit players dont rely on mouse/keyboard macros/bindings to grind for them

cause you cannot make a function work just with some controllers and not with others,
you cannot force people to buy new hardware to get the same function just because you are not able to tell the difference.

that's why this is ridiculous.

 

thanks for block logitech users, they are already 1 or 2 persons on core, they have to deal with it while others can use the same functions with other nigerian mouse. i'm feel so "legit" now.... thanks, innova

 

this is a bot/cp program? i not see macros... is only for bind simple keys...
