Launcher and Windows XP

alot of xp users can play without problems so if you don't have anything smart to say just shut up

 

try to disable dep in windows xp!

 

give me one reason not to go to win7 and come here whinning about "i have i7 2600k 10gb ram ssd and windows xp " and l2 cant start..

check this out, i changed that part with http://translate.google.com/transla...ndex.php/topic,46405.msg564285.html#msg564285 and it worked out yesterday, today when i tryed to log in over website it just giving same error. so i got no idea what else to modify in order to be able to log in.

i did that yesterday and client worked, but today it is giving same error and i haven't touched anything after.
i removed loader installed it again and tryed the same way as i made it work yesterday and nothing keep giving same error...

 

thats not same error. try make repair client from site. next to play button is a small screw button to repair your client. do that and try as above

 

splicho, i have a library (dll and source code) that should help with this problem (history: wcontrol::registerwindowclass). but it need to be registered in your os-registry (appinit_dlls key).

 

why dont u take some time and make a small "guide" wtih ss or without if its tyring to help ppl?

 

consider that you done this since you have weird problems:

install directx and update drivers

to ensure best performance, ensure directx 9.0c or above is installed, and that all graphics card drivers have been updated. follow the links below to update these components.

download directx 9.0c
nvidia drivers (geforce)
ati drivers (amd radeon)

 

etherial, because my patch is not a "fair play" (launcher should be corrected by dev.team). nevertheless i will try to make something like this, ok...

 

y i know that problems should be fixed by dev. but there is a big distance between should and will. and i think we can help others till some official solution is on :d

p.s. patch for testing purpose only (history: wcontrol::registerwindowclass error)
require adm-rights (hello, uac) and backups your settings in c:\reg_backup.reg file...

i have the same problem with fix :s window7 x64

 

fix only for xp... same problem on w7x64 - i don't believe it, sorry (can you show screenshot?)
