i only would choose dark elf race for a tank for the "disparition" race skill :cancels all your debuffs, increases your spd. +30 for a certain period of time (5sec) and makes you untargetable.
the racial skills are omnom. aside from that, you have a bit better damage output than other tanks. less hp/cp than other tanks as well. we don't really bring tanks into the group to do damage, rather to take the damage for us. however, shilien templars are still good at taking that beating. another class might be able to take 1 more hit, but the difference is not all that gamebreaking. in the end, it is what you like to look at more.
that one racial skill could mean that the playerbase will not like d. elf tanks in parties. not becouse thats a bad class, but you need someone who takes the damage, and keeps people targeting him, and not the other people in hes party. other than that, there are so little differences now between races that it seems its more of a personal preference which one will you roll. this ofc when you are awakened. before that its a different story.
in end game pvp all that matter is only skills. when you have 92 str and you get +1 str at night, does ir really matter, especially when most of the skills dmg comes prom it's power. 1% vr? if it's somewhat different than old shool vr and converts skills dmg to hp than yes it's useful, but i don't know about that, still it's weak. this trait is mainly pve. when i think about pvp, what comes to mind is only acceleration, which it is only one d.e. skill that can be very usefull in pvp situation: all debuffs are removed, for 5 seconds run speed is increased by 30. and makes you untargetable. cool, huh? also humans have very nice skill: unbind: removes poison / bleed / hold and stun effects and will become immune from these effects for 10s. nice one too.
forget about str boosts, all siegel tanks i know go with -str+con all the way. even pure dd barely do any damage with non-skill attacks anymore. and patack has little to none impact on skill damage. de race skill is imo the best race skill in the game. for a tank that means if you see your party gathered too many monsters and is going to wipe, you aggro them, get them hell away from the party and use disparition: voila, problem solved. next best skill is orcs auto-celestial.
de racial is cool, but overrated. i don't see how this skill alone will make de tank superior to other tanks. sure, it's a cool and useful skill, but not that cool to claim de tank crushes all other tanks.
me playing an iss enchanter find that celestial nothing more than annoying. i`ve already died a few times cause of that because you cant receive no heal when its active. with healing melody 4s reuse when you waste it once while on celestial you are pretty much dead
@up each tank can be "made pure tanky *******" and actually human skill is far superior when it comes to actual tanking. de's is good for 1v1 or small group fights but it's quite useless in tanking since using it practically reset ur agro and mobs start attacking everyone around randomly.
