changing client folder

i have moved my 4game folder (with launcher and game folders inside) to another drive,
reinstalled launcher, selected new folder paths for launcher files and game client and it doesn't work
frost gives and "invalid ..\system\l2.exe path", if i try to update\fix\install game from scratch, it starts downloading whole client to my old drive
if i disconnect that drive, updater crashes like ******ed horse

moving client back to old drive solved the problem for now, but i must get rid of that drive soon

 

backup your whole game folder somewhere. (don't delete from the old driver, just copy) uninstall the game. install it in the desired driver. and when it starts to install the game. just copy the backup in the folder and you won't need to download it again.

 

reinstall the 4game app and give the current path

if you have some knowledge of it you can try changed path in registry.

 

i went through registry before i posted first time, and i changed all folder paths i could find for keywords "4game", "lineage" or "l2.exe".
i did reinstall the launcher, i did change the folder path for client, but it still updates/installs to old location
appdata folders are empty, there is nothing associated with 4game or game client.

when nothing worked, i came here for another solution

this 2 parts confuse many people

 

completely reinstalling game client helped
reinstalling game launcher and changing folder paths in it didn't
