[25.01.2018] PvP tournament - pros and cons

We're thinking of organizing PvP tournaments for EU this year,
What do you think about it?

 

Finaly something good. I personaly would love a interserver olympiad with equalized and predetermined gear with cool rewards such as completed dragon weapons , make it happen !

 

Lol p2w vs f2p?
Or it's gone be separate groups where f2p can compete too?

If no i guess a lot of ppl who play this game without p2w items will skip this event like me.

 

If you do it with predetermined gear and level categories (i.e. 95-99, 100-102 or smth like this). Otherwise its just for a handful of top players again.

The idea is great,nice to see some good ideas innova have, beside p2w events. Ofcorse this ideea would be great if all players can participate with equal lvl/gear.
Lets hope it will happen .

 

I guess better name of this event should be lets give the prize to best l2store investor

 

If that will be on separated server
Where everyone will get same eq/lvl/skills enchant/weapon enchant without l2store items.

Yes, if it gets organized, it will be a separate server with equalized level and gear.
We think of 7v7 atm as the most requested and spectacular option.

That would be a great idea, much appreciated by everyone I guess.
7v7 on separated servers with everything equalwould be best for me. Also pay attention to schedule to make it easy for everyone to participate I heard there were issues with previous editions because it was not flexible enough ? For example let opponents pick a date/hour within a certain period or something.

 

Personally I found party trough a 7v7 tournament, AMC. I was invited to a team participating in it and then joined them ingame as well.
This kind of event puts a special reward for playing together as a party and practicing.
It is hard to find ingame enjoyable competitive content, because there are many ways of 'cheating' (by cheating I mean gear, 'game mechanics', politics etc) which are practically more important than playing well, as long as you can 'cheat' enough. A pvp tournament would ignore those other factors.

 

+1 to this.. when I was playing on ncwest, I heard about RU tournaments every year, and when I got here, I was anticipating it (7v7 or olympiad), but never arrived.

Should be really fun with a lot of tension those fights, not to mention equal gear brings more uncertainty to the result, so please make it happen..

 

Sounds like a great idea imo, even though I'm not really into PvP. I'd watch the hell out of that regardless.

 

Cant wait to see all those "pros" who shout left and right about how good they r (and itemz not counting for them)

But hey, better later than never.

 

Same items and even level will be very good, will show who is who

 

Should be organized 1vs1 too ,same gear same lvl, so we can have troll material for all those handless overgeared trash bla blaing around...

 

the same "pros" won previous tournaments and always did best in AMC tournaments.
Just saying

+1 for the idea, just need to be flexible with gear suggestions and not put 1:1 AMC gear like previous times, because AMC gear was sometimes lacking and changing the meta quite a bit.

 

any restrictions about class setup? like max 2 healers tank iss and 3 dd. or 2 iss 2 dd 2 heals and tank? would be nice to see 5 evi heal and iss, or 2 iss + 5 evi
what gear? bless/pvp items. +6/8/10? what weapons OE? 2-3 sa? augments? skills OE?
l2store p2w stuff like brooches shirts etc?


arena type. coliseum or giran/gludin arena?

 

Arena ****, make it into some other locations, where we can actually use terrain !

 

we are still discussing in CL chat but gear will be minimum +12-14 pvp weapon and +10 pvp set and max enchant on skills probably.
