[Forum Contest] Lineage 2 Playbook. Newbie Survival Lifehacks

A lot of wisdom on how to start playing current Lineage 2 is spread on our forum, so let's gather everything in 1 place.

Imagine, your friend is starting after a long period of inactivity, what would you recommend them to do/to know first of all?
After the contest is over, we will choose the best lifehacks and compose a post that can be shared with any new player.​

Applications are accepted from July 17 till July 30, 2018.

Format Requirements. Contents:

• The contest entry should consist of a detailed description about 1 useful thing for any new player on Core.
• Your guide can cover:
  • A nice-to-make quest.
  • A way to get extra adena or equipment.
  • Advice on equipment options or class choice.
  • ...Other important points you think need to be covered for any new player.
• Your guide can contain more information than named above.
• You guide should be no longer than 2 000 characters long (including spaces and punctuation).
• The guide should be written for this contest and never used anywhere before.
• Your guide should be accompanied by 1 picture, it can be a screenshot illustrating the advice or a screenshot of your character. No text on the screenshot is allowed. Min size 1024*768.
• Use tooltips from L2Wiki to name items/locations/skills, for example, https://l2wiki.com/Prophecy_of_Might_-_Iss_Hierophant
• Please don't use more than 3 colors in your text.
• Please don't use more than 3 fonts in your text.
• To make the reading easier, please format your headers and subheaders. You can use the forum's style or simple bold/italic/underlined.

• Please use a good image hosting like Imgur to keep your images

Important:

• You can submit several entries, but only 1 entry per participant can win.
• Your guides for the contest should be posted in the designated subforum: https://eu.4gameforum.com/forums/1783/ This subforum has a 30-day limit for editing your texts.
• The number of winners will be decided by the Administration.

Vitality consumption +150% and Acquired XP/ SP +150% while hunting. Remains after death. Duration is 10 min. Cooldown is 9 min. Only usable when 1 or more Vitality slot is full. Cannot be used in the Olympiad. Cannot be stacked with “Freya's Frozen Scroll” and "Maphr's Wind Scroll".

For 30 min., Max HP/ MP/ CP +10%, P. Atk. +20%, M. Atk. +30%, P./ M. Def. +10%, P. Accuracy +4, M. Accuracy +4, Atk./ Casting Spd. +10%, Speed +10, Atk. Attribute +100, Skill MP Consumption -10%. Additionally, XP Gain +30%, Vitality Bonus +12%. Buff remains in place after death. Cooldown is 5 minutes. Cannot be stacked with Art of Seduction or Mysterious Wind Scroll. Cannot be used in Olympiad.

When stored in the inventory, Vitality Bonus +50% and Vitality Consumption -15%. The remaining time decreases even when not playing.

Finally some rewards worth the try.

But I have few questions.
1) - Nvn I got to read the whole post.. -
2) What if my guide is over 2000 characters longer?
3) Since it's not stated otherwise, I guess all.the following is tradable?

depends on the text and the context. "how to buy in L2Store" - not really, but "you can use maphr's scroll in Kartia when you kill the boss to boost your exp" - is fine in my opinion.

 

Can I just post a link to the topic of my stream summaries and discussion? Will it be considered as an entrance to content?

 

Ima be honest here, the best guide someone could give to newcomers is how to spend money efficiently in order to aquire gear/exp. For example explain how the market works, when and what to buy, which events/promos should wait for, when and how to exp efficiently etc. Let's not kid ourselves though, if people want to play they will with or without guides, unfortunately more and more are constantly forced to quit, we need to focus on the real problems.

 

P.S. Are you perhaps hiring a secretary Fragola? :V

 

I agree. Well it should be a mix. The kepropus' quest line and the market.
Eg. leveling a tank with 1 client it's just sadistic.

Yeah i'd like to see it myself but with 2k character limit I might have to write it in Chinese or with hieroglyphs to make sure it stays in bounds xD
