Experiment 29 Common and Extreme Tauti drop

a surly orc sat across the table from tully, scribbling something on the piece of parchment. tully, meanwhile, was going through the blueprint of his extra-sensitive, high-tech machinery that he wasn't so sure he would cope with at first go.

tully sighed and put the blueprint away on the table.

the orc was still writing.

tully was patiently waiting, whistling some non-existent tune. suddenly his eyes fell on the ring the orc was wearing.

'it's tauti's ring, isn't it?' asked tully.

'that's right,' said the orc without stopping to write.

'not that easy to come by, eh?'

'well... it depends.'

'on what?'

'on which tauti you go after.'

'how do you mean?'

'common tauti isn't that good. extreme tauti - that's the real deal,' replied the ring-bearer still writing ceaselessly.

'i didn't know there was a difference,' said tully.

'oh there is. there's every difference between those two. i would know,' the orc looked up grinning slyly.

next moment he handed tully the paper.

'well, thank you for your services. you're as good as they say. take care.'

and the orc left the room leaving tully with that curious thought stuck in his brain.



purpose: compare the chances of obtaining items when killing common and extreme tauti.

test: a gm character summons and kills 100 common and 100 extreme tauti. the drop is noted down and arranged in a table.

i would also like to note that the chances of obtaining items are higher if before defeating extreme tauti one kills mobs as well.

conclusion: the chance of obtaining the most valuable drop - tauti's ring - is rather small (about 1%) if you kill common tauti. extreme tauti offers a higher possibility of getting the ring: about 18%.

 

it's good to know that if you want the ring, normal tauti is useless, but extreme tauti has good droprate for this. ^^

hummmm.... didn't we kill more than 100 tautis on server? seems we're just very unlucky, or gms were lucky during test.

 

you sure "tauti's fragment (1-3) 9" drops from simple tauti? o.o btw tests was made in this new 0703a update or before?

 

we was lucky to obtain fragments both before and after the 0703a update.
