Hello, is there any guide how choose attribute for my weapon as ISS Doomcryer? When I play my Wynn Summoner, someone told me to use "holy", because I was solo leveling in zones with "dark" mobs after 85+.

Now I'm starting my ISS and I don't know how to choose proper attribute for my dual swords/blunts.

I would appreciate any advice or a link to an explanation.

    THX, Ulma.

The thing is that out there 99% of monsters/raid bosses have a resist of an element, and that is not holy. Meaning 99% of monsters/raid bosses have resist to dark, fire, water, wind, earth. So people who focus on PvE tend to use Holy attribute to gain some small extra % of DPS.

Plus that a lot mobs have resist against dark attacks, leading to a small % weakness to holy attacks.

Of course you have to notice that some classes are forced to use specific element, like feohs. Non of their stances has holy attribute.

For PvP, element decision, is a matter of another discussion.

after some atr on weapon, like 230 or so if I remember, the dmg on the mobs caps and you can't get higher.
So, in pve 300 makes 0 difference.

230 difference between attack and defense attribute is max difference in terms of bonus damage. Mobs that you kill in PvE have between 200 and 400 defense attribute ? I lost the source for these values. Basically you need something like 450-600 for max bonus in PvE.

Anything, since your iss won't do any good job soloing mobs, except for kartia solo.

All mobs have a base of 20 atr defense on all attributes, and this value increases by 50 if they have an attribute themselves.

But that was some years ago (before GoD), I am not sure if it's the same right now.

thats very old info that doesnt aply here for a very very very long time
thats a wrong info also for a long time... bonus doesnt cap at 1.2...
u can test it simply by having 300 atri and killing 1lvl mob (which 100% doesnt have any atri) and then add 5lvl opal +new tiara(+50) +50 atri tali and so on and u will see dmg changing exponentialy 1.2 bonus is for pvp only and if diference is 230 or more, for pve more atri = more dmg

and for the author - iss dont even need atri (specialy if its a dual class) cause basicly u cant solo mobs : 95% of the time u are exped by others, just have a gun +hp so u dont die fast and can asist party with debufs and some healing if needed

As Iss (especially DC), I'd advice you to focus on your weapon attribute on last. In oly, you'll just make your opponent mad by freezing flame the **** out of him, and in open pvp you will deal far less damage than any DD. And, for PvE, I advice you to turn shots off, it'll gives you a hint about how much damage you'll do.

As for the Attribute Attack, Nyweris summed it up. Tauti/Kelbim makes a lot of weapon attack dark, so go holy, as many people will have less holy defense than dark.

Another option is going for water, as some races keep a Fire Attribute Attack bonus, and IIRC, the bonus for the water stance for feohs suxx hard (slow, or something like that), so most feoh will choose fire attack over water attack.

Vllm said some times ago that 10 attribute attacks means about 1% effective damage (not totally accurate, but not bad to have an idea about the impact of elements on your weapon)
