NCSOFT will open a classic server

i understand that l2classic is not for everyone, but just because few of you won't enjoy it doesn't mean no one will enjoy it. just read russian forums and you will see huge hype about l2classic. maybe it won't succeed in eu community, however we can't say for sure, as you said - only time will tell.

however it is kinda weird when some1 is telling me that i won't enjoy classic, like they know my feelings/thoughts better than i do.

how can you compare time spent on grind between freya/hi-5 and c1~c4? if they are 21+ it means they dont even less time to play than ur average 16 year-old.

why do you think so much ppl give in to p2w and spend so much? cause they dont wanna grind and yet wanna win!

you will all cry when u see you dont have enough money for ports, when you're pked all day by some lvl 70 u cannot win cause he nolifed and u cant no-life. when you will loose more % than xp just cause of pk/pvp. i am very excited to see a bunch of tears from this and emo quitting cause bots will be selling adena since the drops are nerfed to 1/6 of their original value.

that's just funny, the population on l2 was long decreasing before interlude, and it came in the form of server merges on na.

priv servers are costumized to ur own **** data and ideas. bots arent interested in private servers either btw, just an hint.

 

i am pretty sure tons of ppl will like the l2classic server if you dont mind still running around using d grade gear after months hardcore xp grind and finaly hit b grade level.

if you want to promote the l2clasic server for europe you'll have to tell the whole story. do you remember back in c2 when cruma tower was on lockdown by chinese farmers studio's on l2wind. farming 24/7 mats for the craft market? those chinese farmers wont be there now, so i am wondering who will fill the market now with craft materials. there was a reason why na servers was infested by auto played characters starting in c2 and up. na/eu players are lazy as f*ck when it comes to grinding and farming. unless they will change the drop rates to na/eu standards you wont see any c/b grade gear in months to come.

not to mention when you finaly got the tons of mats for your sls and then your craft fails
or if you was lucky and you did made your craft, some random **** trains you with tons of mobs and in the progress of dieing you drop your gear or even worse your newly crafted sls
so many tears to come.

 

cause they are from korea- that explain everything

lets be honest. 70-80% of core population are new playes who never played h5 or earlier. they come to core and god cause free to play. they are know how to exp here, how exp going fast. when they will see exp on 14 to 15 lvl is like here 98 to 99. they will rezignate fast. here is easy to get ssr, or eq what you are able to play pve. there... good luck for players how start play thatks to free to play

i played at c2/c3 i renember thoes chronicles, i must admin that was awesome, but then game was pretty new for me, i was exploring whole game that was fun, now when i know what to do when, it is automaticly goint go to think " if i want to be best i have do that and that" and it is not fun as at beginig play l2.

 

it will be funny when players are level 40+ and still cannot even afford their d grade gear. :d

i have been playing since prelude beta and when i think of all the time, effort and problems with the original chronicles, plus the 1/6th drop rates i have no desire to do it all over again. don't get the wrong idea, i loved l2 up until c5 when for me it started going to hell with all the poor additions to the mechanics.

doing it all over again with nerfed adena drops, no thanks. :d

plus the bots will be rampart on the classic servers since (like they are in korea) adena will be almost non existent.

 

there is no eta so far.

we are planning to launch it at the end of september.

ru server will come first.

@aquamarine - i hope now you realize why i specifically wanted someone "in charge" to answer my questions. nothing against you, just wanted informations to be as precise as possible. let's hope we will have a good classic server in the future, cheers.

 

trying to rescue a dead game by opening older chronciles where mostly of people are the older than before and won;t have time to level thier character because simply the "classic" is going to be more hard core than its now although it might bring some new peeps , looking forward to improve this latest chronicles instead of trying necro-servers-open

well look some ppl are making propagandas for l2classic, rest just telling the facts and then some nice argument coming: "you never played in old times, know nothing, blabla". i think everyone played in older chronicles, i can tell atleast half of the players here or much more even if they did after c3 or c4 they all know how hard was to do anything. don't tell us please we don't know anything about old chronicles. don't tell us we are lazy. we farmed, grind, crafted, spoiled hard for our d, c, b, a grade items. but well that was many many years ago. i grow up, most of us grow up and don't prefer to do those things again. that's normal. and as others said don't compare eu players with koreans or with us players. big differences.

if anyone wanna try it, lets open it, let them pay, let them have fun or just loose money. it's good for innova anyway. even this actual chronicle is hard for most of the ppl w/o p2w or 12h / day playtime. so you can imagine on classic. if not well that's your problem. i wish you fun there. don't forget your words how you wanted l2classic and please don't cry after you faced facts and difficulties. your choice anyway, won't cause headache for me.

not worth to compare l2store on f2p or craft things after months on p2p. your own choice to be blind anyway. they are different type of business.

 

lol. actually you are right. let's say they open a high or mid rate p2p pvp server w/o l2store with some kind of gm shop or something. that server will rock.

 

maths. after classis servers in korea ncsoft made 2.2 more millions dollars. why not to make more from ru/eu/na etc? it is a company....

i bet 90% of you who waiting this classic server never played p2p version in teon or w/e ncwest server..

 

you know i don't really care about how much money they made with that classic server. that hype around classic starts to be pathetic anyway even if those koreans are so addicted about that. even if they did millions. it's just lets **** more money from the people. anyway we all know koreans are mostly farmers (botters) so, nothing suprising they enjoy that classic server. as i saw eu/us players are mostly endgame players that means they farm (or pay) hard for to be prepared for pvp. and after ppl taste some pvps they want more and more day by day, fighting for baium (in good old times, camping starts for 8h+), dragons, castles etc. they want the adrenaline rush. preparations, big plans, fails, successes, communications, misscommunications, to be leaded or lead. well actually i don't think i have to show these things for anyone, and who mostly did farming will never understand these stuffs. i was so happy when they announced god at first time. oh good, i'm not a kiddo so don't have much time to play. in this chronicle when i do hardcore at start soon i can get stuffs easily so i can pvp. well actually they ruined this plan. they did a neverending sp farm and xp farm again with removing the level cap. ofc we all know they wanna make l2 neverending. the only problem imho they are focusing only for the money. i wrote before somewhere players have a lot ideas, suggestions how make this game amazing, unbeatable. did they make anything from those ideas? no. almost they did the opposite. just check patch notes after the first god, things are falling down. they added 1 new race, 2 more classes. why? i ask why? cuz the game itself boring and no more ideas how to make it interesting? well what about ask the players? ah nevermind, they don't really care. they care only about their pocket to be full of money. how things lose their quality nowadays. let them do that. i start to lose the point to express my thoughts about these things.
