Before starting let's get to know a few things that are new to the essence.

    Sahya Grace:
Similar to the old "vitality system", this new system allows players to exp faster than usual. 300% increased XP w/o boost, allows you to drop items and adenas from mobs/raids. It's very important to ALWAYS have it active, otherwise you wont be getting much XP and 0 adenas from mobs, as well as no drops. It scales with gained XP while hunting so the more XP you gain, the faster it drops. In order to refill it you can use Sahya blessing & Sahya cookies (also some extra items which can be found here and there once in a while). While filling the gauge with cookies and blessing, you might trigger a special buff (which wont be seen in the buff list, but only by the icon) that allows you to spend 0 sahya while hunting. The icon will do a firework effect and start shining. You can see the time left on the blessing by clicking on the Sahya Grace icon when your mouse is on the orange bar. You can check ur Sahya grace gauge on the right side of the screen (default location), it's the first icon (a little arrow) on the vertical bar. Cap is 24x 100%. If you run out of Sahya Grace, you can use the "Limited Sahya" which can be found in LCoin store or ingame during events or give away, but i suggest you NOT to use it as it will allow you to gain 200% XP boost instead of 300%, you wont be dropping items from mobs and adena amount is decreased.

    Magic Lamp:
Brand new system that allows you to XP way faster. Actually, this is the system from which you gain the best XP. Everytime you gain XP killing mobs, the Magic lamp gauge will fill. The more XP you gain, the faster the lamps are filled. Keep in mind the following formula : 1.000 XP points = 00.01% of the gauge, which mean 10.000.000 XP = 100.00% of the gauge. This process can be speeded up with special items such as Magic Fire and Magic Lamp Charging Potions, which can be acquired from L2Store or by ingame quests. You can find the gauge on the right side of you screen, second icon on the vertical bar. Once your gauge is filled and it shows at least a "x1", you can try ur luck. Click the icon and then 'Game start'. A window will appear. You can try up to 10 lamps at the same time (depending how many stacks you got). The lamps will stack into your inventory and will divide into 4 colors: Green, Blue, Purple and Red, with green being the lowest and red the highest you can get. After level 76, you gain access to the "upgraded" magic lamps. You will consume 10 lamp stacks at once (meaning you have to get the gauge to stack AT LEAST x10) and 5x Sahya blessing. The XP gained with the upgraded lamps is 12 times higher than their normal version, meaning that an upgraded blue lamp will give you 120kk XP instead of 10kk XP.

With this 2 new systems in mind to improve your XP, let's see where you should level up!
NOTE: The following guide will NOT take into account the decreased spawn of mobs due to the lag issue nor how much a spot is crowded.

    Level 1-40:
Once you are done creating you char, you will teleported on your race-spawn area. Kill a mob to drop the Blue Gemstone and start the quest from the NPC that is nearby.
Levelling up from 1 to 40 will take more or less 1h. Follow the quests untill level 40, it's really simple.
Once per char per account, you can claim a special pack inside the L2 Store, the Newbie Gift, which will give you helpful items to level up such as a Valakas Necklace (untradable) and cosmetics. Also, keep in mind about the Sayha's support pack that can be claimed DAILY which is, like the Newbie gift, once per char per account.

    Level 40-76:

GZ on your 40! But, what now?! Well, as you can see by now, the game is giving you infos and gear that will help you start your experience into Essence. Once you're done, you will gain access to a few extra quests that will give you even more items, but nothing lasts forever!
After level 40 you will have access to a hunt quest, which, like the previous one, will ask you to hunt mobs in Sea of Spores, which is a really good location to XP even untill level 50.
Once you are done with Sea of Spore quest, you should be around level 45-47 already, You can move to the next quest location which is the Cemetery, just be carefull to not move OUT of the walls since mobs are stronger there. You can XP in Cemetery up untill level 55. After you hit level 55, you should be able to get the next 3 quests, which are located in:

Field of massacre: The zone here is pretty wide, as you can hunt here from level 55 up untill 70. The zone near the center (on the map, area between the "Devastated castle" and "Fields of Massacre" ) has mobs around level 55-60, in the north mobs 60-65 and next to the raids, mobs are 65-70.

Plains of glory: Just like in Field of Massacre, the zone is wide. But mobs are pretty much the same everywhere. Mobs are slightly stronger in the north.

War-torn plains: Mobs here are basically the same everywhere. They get a lil thoughter than in the previous zone so you might need to improve ur gear to hunt here. It's not a good zone for mages.

The previous list, follows the Quests order, BUT you are not forced to XP there. You can actually XP in the following locations as well:

Enchanted valley: A zone that fits all classes. Having the low-ground zone with lower mobs and the high-ground zones with stronger mobs, EV is a good zone for XP from lv 50 up till 61.

Blazing swamp: Mobs here fits all classes as well. Sadly tho, the mobs are not well distributed, so just a few spots (the ones around the magma-lake top) are worth. Still a good zone for levels 61-70+.

Cruma tower 3rd floor: Probably one of the best zone after you reach level 61 to XP untill even 76, the 3rd floor of cruma has several rooms with a good amount of mobs which give you good XP and adenas. Also, few main rooms, got a Stronghold that, when is conquered by a member of a clan, gives a further XP buff to all the clan members XPing in that room.

Catacombs: Now it's time for catas, the old good fashioned catas! Well, not really. Catas has lesser mobs compared to Necros (which kinda have...twice the mobs per room?), making it yes, a good zone to XP for everyone, but not the best. Depending on your level/gear you might end up cleaning a whole room to quickly, ending up standing there for secs without hunting. Might be a good location for mages that run out of mana tho. Forbidden path is the lowest, followed by Witch and Dark omens on top. Also, keep in mind, mobs here are squishy but can do some serious damage if you are under-geared.

Necropolis: And last but not least, the necropolis. Over crowded with mobs are probably one of the best areas to XP with anything as mobs, like in catas, are squishy but hits kinda hard. Since mobs in catas and necros has no special resistance, mages and archers finds heaven down there. Patriots are the lower levels, Devotions in the middle and Disciples on top! But keep in mind that, in Disciples necropolis, mobs are the same amount as in Catacombs, making the last Necro not so worth, but still doable.

    Levels 76+:
Are you still with me? Good! Cause now we will talk about the zones where you can hit levels over 80.
At this point, you should be wearing at least some B+ grade gear and also a good weapon. But if you don't have a good weapon, that's not the problem. Keep in mind that, when you were doing level 20 quests, you have received the Aden weapon. Which gets stronger everytime you level up. Making an Aden weapon on level 72-75, strong as a B grade weapon. So with this in mind, let's go look into the areas that fits best after level 76! NOTE: you can XP in the following locations even before level 76, but after lv 76 you will be able to hunt effectively.

    Devil's isle:
A location that is good even prior to level 76 is Devil's isle. Mobs are split in several rooms and changes according to the area. The lowest area is in the low-ground of the island, with ghosts and undead monster that can be found around some rooms. Mobs inside the caves are "medium", which means they are a lil stronger than the ghosts in the rooms. The rooms that are on the upper-side of the Isle are the strongest. Kinda. They are pretty weak but you can gain XP there even at level 81-83+, making Devil a good area for levels 72-73 up to 83.

Silent valley: Another location that is good for exp after level 76 is Silent valley, way up to level 83+. Mobs here might be strong so you can't rest easy if you are not levelled enough or you don't have a good armor/jewel. Mobs are the same in the whole valley.

Cruma 2nd floor: Pretty much the best location to XP since you will be hunting mobs really close to each other. Just like the 3rd floor, you can claim Stronghold to give ur clan members XP boost while they hunt in the room. The floor has several corridors and rooms, with mobs inside corridors being lower than mobs in the rooms, as at lv 83, inside corridors, you might see blue mobs, while mobs in the room will all still be white.

Tower of insolence: This is a though one. The old good tower is, as always, split into 12 XP floors (13 is galaxya and 14 is baium). A good place for melees to XP, mobs in Floor 1 and 2 are really easy to kill and will reward you with a really good amount of XP. As you go up onto other floors tho, things will get a lil hard. Mobs into 3rd floor has a mage that can really deal heavy damage if you don't have a good set of jewels and, in general, mobs start to gain some more HP. Still soloable easy if you are full A grade. Toi 4th has mobs with almost twice the HPs of the mobs on 1st and 2nd floor, not really dangerous if you don't aggro too many, but still "meh" when it comes to the "speed*XP" formula. Mobs on 5th floor are stronger and might be dangerous, mages there can nuke reaaally hard. It's still possible to hunt there, even tho, it's not much worth it. Now, everything that's after TOI 5, is close to impossible. In this guide i'm leading you through a "free-to-play" experience, if you are willing to go over the 5th floor of TOI, you will require items that can be found into LCoin store.

Dragon valley: The area fits all kinds of chars, depending on the location. If you split the area into 2 prefect halfs: the left half is good for melee and the right half is for mages. To get what i mean: there's an NPC that allows you to port into the center of DV: if you open the map and run deeper into DV, mobs are for mages, if you run toward the dv spawn, mobs are for melee. Be carefull about raids as they spawn in the middle of the spots, making it dangerous as you might end up hitting one of the raids while afk hunting.

Plains of Lizardmen: Paradise for rangers! Unlike the other areas, mobs here got no resistance to mages and archer, combine that with the huge amount of mobs in the area and here's ur jackpot! After lv 76+ is probably the best area to level up even after over lv 86. Melee can also have a good time here even tho you will have to run around, hopefully none is gonna steal ur prey before you get there!

Orc Barracks: Top xp zone actually available into the Essence server, but it's no place for mortals. Mobs here drops a good amount of adenas and lot of XP but the area have mobs split into camps. 4 camps of mobs + 1 "instanced" camp that can be entered once per day (I don't remember for how long you can stay inside, but if you port outside, you can't port back in again untill daily reset of instances). As i said above, this guide is for a "free-to-play" experience, so hunting solo in Orc Barracks is not a thing. WHICH MEANS! You can still hunt here with friends! Form a pt of 5 AOE chars (tank is a must and so is an SE to maximize the XP!) and jump into the action! Note: XP in party in Essence is split for players inside the party. If a mob, solo, gives you 100.000 XP, with a party of 2 players, the XP will drop to 50.000, with a party of 3 to 33.000 and so on, so keep this in mind while farming in party.

This is all for the "open-area" hunting zones! Yes, cause, obviously, we are not fully done yet. This is a LEVELLING GUIDE after all so you think i'd forget about INSTANCES? HECK NO! You can gain access to the Instance zones from the vertical bar on the right of the screen. It's the 5th button and you can access instances only after level 40+.

Primeval isle: This are is accessible after level 40+, which is pretty much a lie. You can indeed get inside there, but mobs are too strong. In order to start farming inside this place, you need to be AT LEAST level 70+. You can talk with an NPC that will port you in 2 macro-areas that are split into 2 zones. The lowest area is the Plain, with mobs being lv 70+ and quite resistant. The other area is 76+ and it's inside the Nest. This instance zone is shared with other players and it's SAFE, which means you cannot pvp here. You can stay inside this instance for 120 mins daily and you can increase the timer with a special stone that can be find in the Store or with events. Note: keep an eye on the Golden pig! Once per hour a Golden Pig will spawn in this area (Plains & Nest)! Everytime the pig gets hit, he will drop adenas! The players hitting the pig will also receive Golden Leafs that can be sell to the Grocery for even more adenas! When the pig reach 50% of HP he will port to a different location inside the Plains! It will also spawn Piglets which will reward you with some extra drops, depending on Pig's HPs! Please, keep in mind that a Pig spawning in the Plains Area will only port in the Plains Area and a Pig spawning in the Nest area will only port in the Nest area.

    Primeval garden:
A zone accessible after 76+! Unlike the Island, this area is PVP! You can stay inside for 60 mins daily (can be extended with a special stone). It's an area shared with other players, which mean you can PVP and PK in this instance. Also, the Golden pig spawns inside this location as well! And, just like the Pigs in Plains and Nest, it will only move around the Garden when porting!

Trascendent zone: Solo area accessible from lv 40+! Once inside, talk with the NPC to transform one of ur skill into a Trascendent skill, which will inflict AOE dmg. Mobs will spawn in waves so be carefull when doing it, as you might be overwhelmed! The area change every 10 levels and can be done only once per day, you can stay inside for 10 minutes only. Some special chest will spawn during the hunt here, which will drop you Craft Points. Note: dying inside this area will result in a no-xp penalty, meaning you wont lose XP. But if you die while the time is running, if you don't get inside again fast (should be 1 minute), you will lose the instance! So be sure to rebuff, jump inside and talk with the NPC as soon as possible to not lose the instance!

Trascendent zone epic: Solo area accessible from lv 80+! It's just like the normal one but with greater rewards and stronger mobs.

Alligator island: Area accessible after lv 60+! Even tho i suggest to go inside after 75. This area is PVP and you might find other players hunting here, so be carefull! You can hunt inside this are for 60 mins daily (can be extended with a special stone). You can do a special Mission inside this zone which will reward you with a Random Craft Stone, that will increase your Random Craft by 1. Note: the entry fee of this area is NOT in adenas but in LCOINS. Everytime you jump inside you will spend 200 lcoins. So please, keep this in mind before jumping inside, as you will have to pay again if you want to go inside a second time during your 60 minutes.

Antharas lair: Area accessible after level 80! This one is different from the previous ones. This area is a cross-server area, which mean you will be hunting together with players from all servers. Open from 18.00 server time untill 24.00, this area is crowded with insanely strong mobs. The XP and adena you can farm here are the best ever but mobs cannot be soloed. In order to hunt here you really need the top of the top gear you can get. Also, this is a totally different server. Wars inside this place are reset and, in order to have them up again, you need to declare war again.
    ---

This is it! A huuuge wall of text that explains you step by step all locations you can use to XP and instances. I hope you will find this usefull as i got even ingame PMs by players asking me about where they should XP.
Extra note: When hunting, you might die from mobs. Dying from a mob might be dangerous as you can drop you gear. So, to avoid that, join a clan that has the skill Clan Luck.

Said so, i wish you all a good and fun hunt! Cya around :)

As soon as possible, i will update the guide with some screenshots of the locations to explain the different areas. For example Devil's isle that got 3 different areas, so i can help you understand better what i meant.

Edit: Added screenshots of some locs to clarify XP areas.
