Recording and Rendering Guide

    Posting again my old guide from Skelth forum so maybe some people might use it.

    This rendering method focuses on video quality, to try to get the best possible video quality that YouTube allows. Got both methods (for 1440p users and for 1080p users) from Fisher and Coil respectively, big thanks to both of them since their methods are really good.

    Programs/Codecs we will use/check:
    GeForce Experience
    (https://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience/download)
    Sony Vegas (I've got Vegas 14, it should work in older versions too)

    What to do:
    1. Settings in GeForce Experience:
    ALT+Z -> Settings icon -> Video Capture:
    1) Resolution on 1440p (even if our L2 client or whole desktop resolution is smaller set it up to 1440p, its for quality purposes. If you play L2 in 4K you can choose to record in 4K)
    2) Framerate on 60 FPS
    3) Bitrate on 50 Mbps
    Other options you might wanna check is what hotkey you want to record with, if you want to use their Instant Replay or normal Recording, etc. (I've had problems with video corruption happening with Instant Replay so I just record normally, pressing a key to start and to stop).

    2. After you get the .mp4 file from GeForce Experience, feel free to edit it with Sony Vegas and/or After Effects (rendering in After Effects is easy, so i will skip that part).

    3. Settings on Sony Vegas to start with:

    Even if we do not play on 2560x1440 resolution we set it up for quality purposes.
    Also remember to click the "start all new projects with this settings" option if you don't want to configurate this every time you start a movie.

    4. Here is where we will separate the methods depending on what resolution we play in:

    4.1. If you play in a lower resolution than 2560x1440 follow this steps:
    1) For this method you need a specific codec (x264vfw) which can be downloaded from https://sourceforge.net/projects/x264vfw/
    2) After codec is installed, we go to "File"
    3) "Render as..."
    4) "Video for Windows (*.avi)", doesn't matter which template you get there since we will change almost everything. Then press "Customize Template..." and we will change the following:
    In "Project" part we will leave the "Video rendering quality" on "Best".
    In "Audio" part we can leave it like it is.
    In "Video" part we will get the settings like this:

    5) In "Video format" section, the x264vfw will only appear if the codec has been installed correctly. Then we press "Configure..." and modify the settings to look like this:

    This are Coil settings, since I play in 1080p resolution I'm using this method. It washes a bit the colors compared to the other one but you can always edit it in After Effects or Sony Vegas to add some color (I'm too lazy for it).

    4.2. If you play in a resolution of 2560x1440 or higher follow this steps (if your resolution is higher, you should change the resolution settings to your own):
    1) "File"
    2) "Render as..."
    3) "Mainconcept AVC/AAC", doesn't matter which template you get there since we will change some stuff, but if you get the "Internet HD 1080p" you won't have to change many stuff. Then press "Customize Template..." and we will change the following:
    In "Project" part we will leave the "Video rendering quality" on "Best".
    In "Audio" part we can leave it like it is.
    In "Video" part we will get the settings like this:

    This are Fisher settings, since I do not play in 1440p resolution I'm using the other method but with this settings you will have almost perfect video quality with good color quality too (the other method washes colors a little bit).

    5. Once we get to this point we start rendering movie and we have finished!
