Lindvior OBT Start Announcement

dear players!

we notify you that the pts will be shut down on 17.05.2013 after 6 a.m. gmt +0 to install the update goddess of destruction chapter 3: lindvior. we will let you know when the test server will be available for public access below in this thread.
the exact date of the end of obt is unknown yet because it depends on how soon the developers’ team can fix the critical bugs.

we remind you that by deciding to participate in the public testing you also accept the corresponding risks and inconveniences:
1) at early stages an update contains a lot of problems (both localization and functional ones, to the point of complete absence of part of the contents);
2) pts is a work environment, that means that:

- the server can be temporarily down (e.g., for installation of new patches) with or without notice. by the way, if you can’t find the npc test server helper mr. cat in place , it’s a sign of a recent server shutdown. he has not been put into place yet (it is done manually).
- there is a testers team working at the server and their work has the priority. for any attempts to interfere with their work or pretending to be one of them you will be punished (on the pts). the testers can be identified by their clan: testinggroup, testinggroup1, testinggroup2 etc, or similar title.

1. please note, that with installing the update the following items will be deleted:

- stone of destiny
- mentee certificate
- mentoring guidebook

also you will not receive them after creating your character.

2. with the installation of the update all existing characters will receive 200 sp scrolls: 100.000.000 sp each in their private warehouse.

3. gm appearance schedule [level change help]:

fri 17 may 12p.m. - 4 p.m.
sat 18 may 5p.m. - 6 p.m.
mon 20 may 5p.m. - 6 p.m.
thu 23 may 5p.m. - 6 p.m..
sat 25 may 5p.m. - 6 p.m.
tue 28 may 5p.m. - 6 p.m.

and lastly, we highly recommend you to capture your character/belongings current state with screenshots and/or video so that after the installation of the update you could provide graphic proof for your problems (should they appear). tickets about “sudden changes” without proof will not be answered.

 

here we will post information regarding patches installed on the pts. if it causes more flame than benefit this practice will be abolished.

please note:

1) all information is taken from the changes list that comes with the patch, so it can be incomplete (one of our chores is to check it);
2) some paragraphs can have a vast meaning with no details (e.g.: localization update. along with that npc dialogs can be changed and therefore their functions – one of the probable consequences that are not stated directly);
3) the information will be lagging behind the patch installation, because not always all changes stated are confirmed on practice (we have to be sure that the change is actual before we notify you about it).
4) please, remember that every fix takes time.

a minute ago public access to the pts was opened.

please note that the current pts is similar to live servers in terms of capacity and maximum limit. but there is risk of lags and even server crashes caused by concurrent presence of a large number of players in one location (e.g.: the location where the awakening occurs, near npc hadin). so please don't stay in these locations for too long.

also for your convenience the following npcs will be found in talking island village, rune and aden (near the dimensional merchant): hadel, hardin, ishuma, raina, trandon, mr. cat. we remind you that it takes some time to put them into place after the server opening, as it is done manually.
