    hello!

so as the title says i'm thinking of coming back to l2 - i originally played on seighardt server and then i believe moved characters to naia? could be wrong but i seem to somehow have that in my head as the name of the eu server. i took part in the beta originally before it went live and then spent wayyy too many hours playing.

    anyhow, long story short:

i downloaded l2 today (7gb on a 7mbit connection, the joys!) and logged into the two accounts i have, both of which now seem to be on servers based in the us and as a result my latency is ~150ms, prob making them mid-west coast servers.

i look around for server transfer, etc to an eu server and it's lead me to this site - another 7gb download! i am assuming that i cannot transfer characters across to the eu version?

if indeed i do need to start again i was wondering how the community is here and the strength of the population? and if it is indeed worth my time starting again?

as a final thought, even though l2 came out in something like 2004? it still has my most favorite classes of all mmos - bladedancer and gladiator.

    cheers,

    krs360.

correct, naia is/was the eu server for ncwest but when innova took over hosting lineage2 for the eu, ncwest moved all their servers to the us.

unfortunately there are no such transfers between ncwest and innova servers so you would need to start from fresh here and download our client and platform to launch.

there have been numerous posts here on this section responding to other new players such as yourself where both our current community and the new players alike have not found any problems with the population or community, you can have a look through at some of the more recent threads in this section to get a good idea of their thoughts :)

    regards and welcome.
