dear players! before you post some problem, please check you have supported os! list of supported os with sp: vista x32 + sp w7 + sp1 w8 w10 also you need browers with all newest update.
i can assure you that win xp + sp3 is not enough. i got own experience on it, only then made all other updates it made to work properly and play beta. you could a bit edit, like all updates include + browser updates needed aswell.
i may be wrong but i think that l2 uses directx so not possible atm to make something native also, l2 is working with wine but gameguard was not. since gameguard is not enabled anymore, maybe it can work but i think it breaks the rules and frost may punish you
first of all, wine is detected as virtual machine for some reason so the game won't start. second, frost, most likely just like gameguard cannot be run on wine and it's mandatory here. @salonon, since there are still problems to start the game for some windows users, i myself can't get it to work on my work pc (xp sp3, install button all the time), don't even count on getting it to work on non-supported osem by the game itself.
also dont forget that if you 'were' able to run it in linux, you could multibox as many times as your hardware can hold, since frost is not able to scan the entire system. this is one of the reasons i believe why linux will never be allowed to work here. (su - anyone?) i used to play l2 for years on my slackware without any problems whatsoever just using wine on many different servers (with the exception of the pre-last updated server cerb, which had some custom patches that wine didnt like), but in this case here with innova, i see no chance of getting it to work. unless...... (innova might make it work on wine if: ) it were installed globally and you would need to run it as root, which is so not going to happen for any real linux user
add windows 8 release preview (rc) support.. it's stable like windows 7 or even better p.s.: please add windows 8 support...
when the os is officially released in the world, then will be added support now frost doesn't work at win8
