fix your xfire game ini then it works fine and if that wont work, set the games.ini from xfire that it takes hours via notpad.exe :d
jayrock, could u please explain what exactly should we do to fix that? i mean step by step. it would be very helpfull
ok lets think together i have win7 x86. xfire is installed on d:\ but the ini file is located in c:\programdata\xfire\xfire_games.ini ctrl+f => lineage [4215_1] longname=lineage ii shortname=lin2 launcherdirkey=hkey_local_machine\software\ncsoft\l2client_us\workingdir launcherexe=lineageii.exe detectexe=system\l2.bin launch=%ua_launcher_exe_path% _launcher_extra_args% _launcher_network_args% ingamerenderer=d3d9 ingameflags=use_present|enable_mouse|use_dinput_mouse|use_dinput1|validate_using_exe_name runelevated=1 [4215_2] longname=lineage ii shortname=lin2 launcherdirkey=hkey_current_user\software\4game\4gamemanager\path launcherexe=4game_zapuskatr.exe detectdirkey=hkey_current_user\software\4game\4gamemanager\games\lineageii\path detectexe=system\l2.bin launch= _launcher_exe_path% _launcher_extra_args% _launcher_network_args% ingamerenderer=d3d9 ingameflags=use_present|enable_mouse|use_dinput_mouse|use_dinput1|validate_using_exe_name runelevated=1 [4215_3] longname=lineage ii shortname=lin2 launcherdirkey=hkey_local_machine\software\ncsoft\lineageii\installpath launcherexe=..\launcher\nclauncher.exe detectexe=system\l2.bin launch= _launcher_exe_path% /launchgame=lineage2 _launcher_extra_args% _launcher_network_args% ingamerenderer=d3d9 ingameflags=use_present|enable_mouse|use_dinput_mouse|use_dinput1|validate_using_exe_name runelevated=1 wtf should we do now? :d
[4215_1] longname=lineage ii shortname=lin2 launcherexe=notepad.exe detectexe=explorer.exe now restart your xfire. manual add the game with searching for notepad.exe in windows/system tree. start notepad and xfire will give you l2 hours :d thats the easiest way. an other way iam looking for!
this should work. at least, it works for me. when you launch (from xfire) it should open the webpage (it detects even if you dont launch from xfire) remember to change to your path, or use the variables. edit: it works with both l2.exe and l2.bin [4215_2] longname=lineage ii shortname=lin2 launcherdirkey=c:\program files (x86)\4game\4game\path launcherexe=4gamelauncher.exe detectdirkey=c:\program files (x86)\4game\lineage2eu\path detectexe=system\l2.exe launch=https://eu.4game.com/lineage2/play/ ingamerenderer=d3d9 ingameflags=use_present|enable_mouse|use_dinput_mouse|use_dinput1|validate_using_exe_name runelevated=1
sandaru's method works for the opening the webpage, but it doesnt count the hours. jayrock's notepad method is all about the switching the files- but im looking for the normal solution, i guess its impossible for now. the question is- which file is active while we play the game (it should be selected in xfire i guess), but none of my ideas works fine
i made it! the solution was to select lineageii.exe in \frost instead of the standard l2.exe file ) after clicking lineage2 in xfire, the webpage opens, we clik play, and we have our hours counting :d c:\programdata\xfire\xfire_games.ini we open that with notepad, ctrl+f => lineage ii [4215_1] longname=lineage ii shortname=lin2 launcherdirkey=hkey_current_user\software\4game\4gamemanager\path launcherexe=4gamelauncher.exe detectdirkey=hkey_current_user\software\4game\4gamemanager\games\lineageii\path detectexe=frost\lineageii.exe launch=https://eu.4game.com/lineage2/play/ ingamerenderer=d3d9 ingameflags=use_present|enable_mouse|use_dinput_mouse|use_dinput1|validate_using_exe_name runelevated=1 be sure your game patch is correct restart xfire tools -> options -> game add l2 (4game file from the main catalog, lineageii file from the frost catalog) save it and play! :d
