Windows 8.1 Preview the game doesn't launch

i installed windows 8.1 preview on my pc, and guess what the game doesn't run. i believe it's a problem with "frost" antycheat it doesn't recognize the os. i hope it to be fixed as fast as possible.

this has nothing to do with frost security system. the problem is that lineage ii does not officially support os windows 8, which results in randomly occurring incompatibility issues. in order to be able to play normally, you should have windows xp (sp 3), windows vista (except for vista x64) or windows 7.
sometimes the game can be launched under windows 8 as well, however, it is not guaranteed that it will run after a new update.

are there any plans to make it officially supported? i am going to buy a new laptop soon and i want to have windows 8 on it.
we are many months since the windows 8 release. ncsoft didn't do anything about this yet?

 

on windows 8 it worked pretty well, but doesn't work with windows 8.1 preview. i hope you fix it guys as fast as possible! by the way pirate version of lineage2 works perfect on windows 8.1 preview.

 

guys try and remember that innova are not the game developers so it is not up to us to chose what os the game supports, that is down the ncsoft in korea, it is their game not ours, we just host it on their behalf for ru and eu.

as horatio has already said, the game does not support windows 8, yes some people can play with it and some people can not. unfortunately for those who can not, there is nothing we can do except advise you to meet the requirements for the game by using an os that is supported. as for plans to support windows 8 in the future, your guess is as good as ours, only the developers can answer that so maybe put that question to them here

ncsoft representatives were asked about it at the lindvior press-conference, however, they didn't mention any precise dates, neither did they specify their plans regarding win 8. we cannot give any information on this issue, either.
