hi guys i've been away from this game now for almost 1 year. a bit less.. before i left i was a mentee. well now ofc i dont have a mentor any more, but can i still get a mentor? i dont have any item in my inventory. do i need it? or any mentor can just simply invite me to become his mentee? then, allso...few monts ago, you could get some kind of 7 days items pack ( weapons/armor ). is this still going on??? because i saw that you could change steel door coins for items...does this replace the 7 days pack? thanks!
you can get a mentor anytime you want and getting one is usually not a problem. the evolutionary road system was removed when lindvior went live, so no more free gear when you level. the new system, steel door coins, is a poor replacement as you do not get enough and generally are stuck with c grade until 70+ when you can get an s grade weapon if you are lucky. best method for weaons is to buy shadow weapons as they are cheap, you can still buy full b and a grade gear from the giran luxury shop if you have the adena.
i see. ok tnx. last question where are the 'hotspots' for lvling? back in my days i used to lvl in the catacombs ;d..good times. now im in blazing swaps and there's no1 here? how and where do you people lvl up? :/
depends on your level i suppose, but the real goal in the game now is to reach level 85+ as quickly as possible as the game does not really start until then. there is a newbie quest chain from 1 to 40 that gets you to c grade. you won't see tons of people as it is summer, it also depends on the time of day you play. the other reason the server looks empty is because we do not have thousands of bots infecting the game here. 99% of the time when you see another player(s) they are real people, not automated 3rd party software. you should get a,m active mentor as soon as possible as it will help a lot in leveling. you can follow this guide as it will probably be the best way for you to level: http://boards.lineage2.com/showthread.php?t=224059
