    ^ such cheap information :p

parties in soa are best below 90 (best spoil is synthetic coke), around 90 or just below the floating flower things in swamplands give off adamantite which is your first money maker. also you can get greater cokes by doing nursery quest (which is a good mat ;) ).

90+ fairy settlement gives off a lot of durable leather/synthetic braid, st2 isn't bad but not great for profits unless you consider selling to the shop great.

95+ is when you can spoil orbis temple with some skills for high armor frags, very pricey! while doing sos quest you can get orichalcum.

important tip : make your own parties and set loot to random only, if anyone complains enjoy the kick! you are an othell rogue all the same and are just as good as the others in pve.

    good luck!

poison zone is great for aoe, at brief moments every stat of a mob is lowered by 20-40% (don't know exact values). an othell can keep refreshing this easy if hes active and cares about bringing down monsters faster for the party.

all othells have 2 aoe abilities plus fortune seeker has aoe spoil but its not very good damage, dagger explosion has a chance of crit and razor rain bleeds all targets for some dot.

othell's are underestimated in pve but are very useful in party instances where mobs are tough with loads of hp, constant poison zone with half kills from 4 dagger blows. you need to check to see if the othell in your party is spamming is mp or not, if he isn't hes lazy and does deserve a kicking as othell auto attacks are rubbish in comparison to you having a tyrr warrior.

there are no differences in any of the othell rogue classes in pve damage with the slight exception of the dark elves for increase in crit damage which applies to blows as they always crit. a good othell should spam skills with the healer backing up his mp value.

so let me get this straight guys - you compare razor rain and explosion with aoe skills of wizards and archers and even summoners that outdamage dagers in every way and wariors who stun and also lowers def.? i am not saying you dont have any aoe - i am saying that they are not so good (that is especially true for fortune seekers).

ps - i always ask the spoilers to switch to including spoil and they always do so i don't know to what parties you have been that are ok with you taking everything.

ps2 - ofc. for tough mobs (cr, etc.) dagers excells in comparison to other classes but we speak for aoe.

    to feelsd:

no way do i compare rr and de to the aoe of an archer or mage, they are much more powerful but poison zone does very good for making there damage count for more.

"that is especially true for fortune seekers"...i'm not sure where you are getting your facts from but the aoe abilities all othell's are the same strength, the only factor would be from the overwhelming amount of dex on elfs to crit skills and thats really not a factor in grinding.

every othell has identically the same effectiveness when it comes to pve, get that one target down fast (and most of that is done through the half kill) and put the poison zone down. in no way a human/de/elf does this any faster than the dwarf when fighting in pve.

also you are pretty much trying to steal from a class that practically does the same amount of damage as any other othell by making that party random including spoils. where exactly is my share of your class? i've made a character to spoil mats (the downside of this is having a disadvantage in pvp) but for some reason i've got to share my spoils with 6 other people? i've turned everyone into their class+fortune seeker, i might aswell of made a full advantage class and had waited for that unfortunate spoiler to come around hey?

if you want more mats make a fortune seeker, don't steal somebody else's commitment, thats for them to decide.

why specially? actually spoilers are the best on aoe dmg betwen the 4 daggers. they have p atk passive, the aoe- are not blow type, so p atk has more influence on them than the single target ones (blow type). also the mass spoil can be used between other aoes reuse, giving aditional dmg.

the crit dmg doesnt afect aoe criticals because those skills do 2x the normal dmg, unafected by crit multipliers(true for non-blow physical skills) which render crit dmg from gh not useful for aoe, so yea fortune seekers do carry the better aoe dmg on the dagger archetype.

what a selfishness. what do you think about isses buffing just themselves or aeores just healing themselves?
i have an othell fortune seeker and i go with random spoil loot. when i play other chars, fortune seekers must accept this kind of loot or they leave the party (or i leave).

you are being ridiculously nice when you have every right for the mats you are spoiling. just because a game has the option of party loot with spoil doesn't mean its the norm.

every time you set it to loot with spoil you throw your class's advantage away completely, you help 6 strangers become stronger by essentially giving them free mats (money).

i'm all for helping your clan become stronger or having a duo party where your with an exceptional aoe'er so its advised to put spoil on loot then but your philosophies are making spoilers look like a waste of time and energy levelling.

example st3 grind : so and so (not you) has acquired *orichalcum wire recipe* from the sweeper skill. not on my watch!

well, i think sharing your spoil can also be a mean to an end in some cases.while your point of view is, at last to me, perfectly understandable, i think that small sized spoil party (e.g. one spoiler/one iss/one dd) are a good example of spoiling efficiently: each member providing a mean to an end. provided that people agree on some basics (for instance, member 1 is interested in this or that recipe/mats and ask for priority on this particular spoil) the added killing speed adds to chances of a fair profit.

of cours, it's a matter of trust and good will.

bboy just let me give you 1 short answer/advise. you have every right on the spoil when you are alone and spoiling alone. when you are in group where you benefit from the iss buffs/debuffs (40% def), aeore heals, real aoe dds dmg, then you have the same right like everyone. and like i said before you are the only spoiler i see that have a problem with sharing spoils.

so when you farm with a party you find it fair to keep all spoils? so the tank who aggro all mobs so you don't die, the healer who heals and iss who buffs whole party so you can keep on going for a long time.... it is fair for you to keep it all while you can spoil a lot more then doing it solo thanks to the party?

it's like you're doing some job, a friend comes to help you causing you gain a lot more money ... and then you leave him with empty hands.

i think we found the sc umbag steve of core...
