Armor & Weapon when i reach lv85

hi , i'm lv. 79 arcana lord. when i will arrive to lv 85 , how could i spend the certificate for mentee?
which armor i must choose? light or robe?
wich weapon?

i think the best for mass pvp is full mage build:
- robe set + staff
- full mage buffs(wizard harmony)
-> you will perform nuke spams better, with very low cd on skills and better damage
-> low p.def...

for pve:
melee dps pets: robes or light + bow/crossbow + warrior harmony
ranged dps pets: robes or light + bow/crossbow + warrior harmony

heavy armor is most useful for pvp(better stats). generally, you can pve in robes or just use an immortal light set for a small p.atk boost on the pets.

p.s.: i am not playing a wynn; just collected some info from internet and friends and tried to help!!!
p.s.2: try to find some wynns ingame and ask them. they could be a bit more reliable sources than me...

 

generally what macewindu said, but it doesn't matter on 85. get immortal light set, change it to enchant type, then save up a little and buy either apocalypse bow or retributer and get 150 holy element in it. if you want to do olympiad and actually kill something, get retributer. it will last you until 95, maybe even until 99(if you want to keep it until 99, get full attribute please!).
don't get requiem weapon for mentee certificates as it's a waste of money to put element in it. you should have at least 150 element in your weapon to be somewhat effective. you'll do better if you save up the mentee certificates for another set for your dual main.

 

you will be ok with a bow. apocalypse then specter. after 97 you can think about a retributer. since they are extremely expensive better use bow till 99 i think. after that you can think about playing oly. well maybe from 95 you can start oly. that's a fun and easy to win some classes with a wynn. but oly is a serious business.
and btw as i heard even ranged attack skills from servitors are physicals so. on pve just go for as more p.atk as you can. dye +str. if you want you can get both robe+light set and bow+retributer. and go for a +wit setup. if you don't pvp much yet just setup your wynn to farm. more p.atk in any case.

in mentor shop there isn't apocalypse thrower

if i don't use the requime weapon where i can buy another weapon?

 

you can find apocalypse thrower only from auction house where it is sold for a lot of adena. for now you just need to buy a requiem bow and just dont put any attribute on it. later, when you will have farmed some adena (from kartia/soa/swamp/tere/mm) just buy an apocalypse bow below 100kk and put dmg up and attribute on it.

p.s.: you can also get apo thrower as a drop but the chance is really low on this patch...

if i want exp lonly where i can buy the greater magic haste potion? (before awakening it can be buyed form blacksmith of mammon).

 

for the moment i want to dye some dyes for farming.
how is these? wit+3 men-2 str+3 dex -2? i can buy 10 of each at 8kk.

 

just don't do that. it's pointless.

 

till 90 or 95 you don't need any dyes. well even till 99 you can be without dyes.

 

without iss buff i have low casting speed.
i would increase a little for exping, the dye wit +4 men -3?

 

don't exp without iss buffs. it's simply. buy buff or join a warless clan with ch or fort. get buffs and go make dailies. grinding without buffs is nonsense. you can buy some elixirs for buff. elixir of blessing for example.

 

dual sa on specter retri worth it for wynn? i cant decide atm beacause i came back some weeks ago from long l2 pause :d

 

for start and till you go 95 i think the event equipment from mentor will be more than enough, for me its useless to spend money on twilight apocalyspe when at 95 you will go for seraph

 

i'm just 76 on my sub, with my main i have full s gear for mage (arcana robe & arcana mass acu).
i need to buy a bow & light armor set ?
and what is the best place for xping until 85 ?

oh for the love of god, not another wynn with bow...ok let me say this one more time:
since lindvior wynns have 0 effect with bow. just check your passive. with the retributer you get a lot of p.atack on the summons and you casting skills get a huge boost. anyway if you already got a requirem bow keep it and make a dual yul or whatever. start saving for a apo retributer or specter, depends on how fast you lv up. anyway in the end its your choise, but i wont mind smashing another wynn 97+ in oly with a bow the sad part is i still see high lv wynns main with +++++ specter bow...sigh. just dont get suprised of the ammount of noobs in core, ive even seen wynns with dual blunt, dagger and cutter lol! as for the armor, keep light till 99. when u get 99 u will be the one to decide light over heavy (heavy has 0 effect on passive, that means casting skills and other atributes go to hell, but great boost in defense).

p.s. ive played over 1.5 year as wynn in ncwest. botland and pvp script hell as it is, people actually know how to play (not neccecerily on pvp) and have very good knowledge on lineage, effects, and everything than the average noob of core (which is part of a good 80-90%). this is due to the fact that on core they lv up like madmen and dont even have time to learn their own toon.

mucho truth posted here. still, i'd disagree about part where you were talking about sets. light is only usefull on pve, i keep it only for epics(e. tauti/tauti/e. octa etc.). for pvp and oly so far you need both robe and heavy. i don't know how it will go after epeisodion(huge p.def boosts in armor passives) though i think every wynn will switch to robe because you will not be able to put on pvp heavy set, which will be a must soon, if you will want to withstand the damage from certain classes.

@topic:

take light set+retributer untill 99. forget bows/crossbows. since weapon mastery after lindvior got 105% boost in p.atk when using 2-handed blunts,, retri is the only option for casual builds. in certain builds tauti 2h blunt can be used effectively too.

 

let's put it straight, not even the top players of ncwest know a single sht about their class, so let's put that aside. there are only very few players which know what this game is about on both servers.

why you say bow has 0 effect? retributer results in +- the same p.atk (usually a little bit more p.atk on retributer) as bow, but bow enhances the crit rate of the pets more efficiently.
incase you dont wanna nuke (and lets get real, nukes are rather useless until you enchant them; pets do their job much better) then bow is the best way to go. (marks work fine on bow aswell).

 

wyn with bow have still more p atk than retributer, and the difference on crt rate is huge with bow. for pve bow >> retributer.
