i might be jumping to conclusions here, but ever since a got to 85 a few days ago i feel like my hands have been tied. i always viewed l2 as an open world game where i had a choice of what to do and that is what i expected. so i'm sitting in town right now, hitting the refresh button, because i can't find a party for kartia 85 for the last 30 min. and the funny thing is, after i'm done with my dailies, i might as well log out of the game, because there are no xp parties at this level and trying to farm bloody swamp without buffs even with premium acc is masochistic. bloody hell.
this is my first char. i don't know the classes yet. i wouldn't try to make a **** pt. and even if i make a pt and i do the dailies fast, what then?
well if you dont try you wont learn. for dailies you need 1 healer 1 iss 1 tank and 4 dds, thats enough to start a normal pt, no need any special information on that. after you make dailies try xp in open field and btw welcome to game
dude you should join a friendly pve based clan. you can get buffs and clannies to help you make pt. or make your daily and then go set your great wolf on newbie chars in wasteland !!! bottom line it's your sandbox and soloing will only get you so far in an mmo.
see thats the problem with all your core is so perfect propaganda, na people join now, but the problem is they are too few. ofcourse there won't be kartia groups 5 in the morning. maby on weekends such miracle could happen. if you are not na, or any other +-12 hour gap timezone living creature and you can't find kartia group you are .... incredibly large piece of wood
or maybe slowly more and more ppl realize fact, that pretty often grinding on open spots like in old times is better than doing kartias etc.?
i just can't believe that no one actually helped the guy instead of criticizing him for not finding a kartia party, unfortunately after 85 you don't get buffs anymore, but if you manage to find someone to buff you you can always try to exp at harnak (first 2 floors are for solo exp, 3rd floor is for small groups) or if u prefer you can try swampland always for solo exp, if u find a party you can go to soa and grind a bit there at last you can try to do terendor which i think is still good exp. after 87 you can look for a s2 or s3 party which now days u can find at any hour...
thank you! i didn't know about harnak. my point wasn't, that leveling was impossible or hard, but that what you do in the game is very limited from 85 onwards. if i am lucky i can do my dailies in about 1 hour. and after that if there is no one to buff, i can literally log out and wait for the dailies to reset. it's that bad. i've never seen this before. and i have played l2 back when we had to grind, but back then the issue wasn't the grinding itself, but rather the low experience and the huge amount of it needed to level. i could always find a party or solo grind at many different locations. right now my gameplay consists of logging in, doing solo/group kartia, soa daily, zaken and that's it. how is that good?
-> kartia group,teredor [85-90] -> harnak [solo exp]; till 89 -> s3 farm 87-95; -> zaken [85-89]; -> freya [85-89]; -> soa daily [85-93]; -> gf 90-95; make pt for daily; [if problems when some... ask why you are in tw : "i have 95, but i dont have a cash"] lol p.s. so as you can see is much to doing ;p first of all : dont wait for pt, just create new one by yourself ;p farm on s3/gf is better now than dailys. farm>>>dailys
and what about other 85 lvl dailyes? something like teredor, bloody swampland quest, nursery? could be helpful to make those maybe just to stay logged some mins more... btw depending on your char u can go harnak 1-2 floor even solo (just search for iss for buffs, u'll find one who wants to xp) or stay in bs gringing a little... i agree that 85-89 lvls you have few things to do, and that's why you should grind to try to hit at least lvl 90 quickly.
i get your problem, lvl 85-95 are transitory levels, the bulk of the active player base is 95+ and after those levels there's alot more you can do daily and non-daily, but luckly i must say with this last update s2-s3 have become very good exping spots, for even the lower levels, if u are 87-90 you can easly find a party there, i always find people there exping you should try to find a party there it's probably even good exp.
you should learn how to creat a party and after that you won't have any problem with dailies/exp. from 85 to reach 90+ is just a week maybe if you have time and pa. i remember after i reach 97 i could make all my dailies in 3-4h and then if i had time i just joined all the 97+ exp/daily parties for only the exp. exping is really fast and you always have things to do. now i have 99/97 main, 97 alt, 2x 87 and 4-5 86 chars. dunno maybe more chars to be able to do anything i want. exp is totally depends on your time and knowledge about the game. just keep learning the game and you will always have things to do. if you are bored you always can make a toon for zaken etc.
actually 85-90 is 3-4 days max if you go xp harnak with pa and xp boosts and propably even quicker depending how much time you have spare
you shouled get an iss enchanter to join you and go to harnak. when i've got to 85 on my summoner, i have leveled my iss box in like 2 days and then i have kept it out of party just for buffs. i was 97 in like 10 days solo. open world exp > instance exp.
