Windows 8.1 has ran out of memory...WAT?!

    hello.
    i need advice/help cuz when i lunch game from the "play" button on the site,my whole system restart itself "windows ran out of memory"...i really dont understand to it and im desperate...my pc:
    processor: intel(r) core(tm)2 quad cpu q8300 @ 2.50ghz (4 cpus), ~2.5ghz
    memory: 4096mb ram
    available os memory: 4096mb ram
    operating system: windows 8.1 pro preview 64-bit (6.3, build 9431)
    gc:geforce 460 gtx

    ps:(when i tried use l2.exe from folder...the game has been launched,i saw a cursor and then it dropped without notification to my desktop.)
    pss:sorry for my english.
    psss:i played normaly on naia today...but the lags are terrible and i look forward to this server.

    for win8.1 4gb of ram really might be not enough. also a question, do you have some virtual memory in your system?

    if you want to run windows 8.1 on your pc, here's what it takes:
    processor: 1 gigahertz (ghz) or faster with support for pae, nx, and sse2 (more info)
    ram: 1 gigabyte (gb) (32-bit) or 2 gb (64-bit)
    hard disk space: 16 gb (32-bit) or 20 gb (64-bit)
    graphics card: microsoft directx 9 graphics device with wddm driver"


    i never had a problem with games (crysis 3,fear 3,metro etc...) as i said i played l2 today on naia...then because of ping i was informed about eu server so i downloaded your client...eeeeerm...what is virtual memory?:eek:(so probably not...i dont wanna be rude...im just...ergh...i have bad mood:(

    l2 and others games are different, dont trust the info from microsoft, info from microsoft means the minimum for running this system, not for optimal.

    i have a win8 on beard and 6gb of ram and you know what? usually l2 eats up to 2gb and other stuff up to 3gb, so 2+3=5.. and you have 4, see what's up? as for you were playing naia, well i can say ncwest client is a bit more optimized and it eats less resources.

    virtual memory read this http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/change-the-size-of-virtual-memory not exactly for win8.1 guide, but pretty similar

    yepeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...problem solved...i reinstalled it on primary hdd and it works now...thanks for advice and patience.:3
