    in this experiment we are going to check the half-kill chance of othell rouges of different races and classes, equipped with different weapons and various str and dex rates.

    target: iss hierophant level 99, no equipment, buffed with all poems, sonatas and wizard's harmony.

    attacker: othell wind rider and othell ghost hunter level 99 both, buffed with all poems, sonatas and wizard's harmony. equipped with amaranthine shaper [​IMG] for the first test, and amaranthine dual dagger [​IMG] for all others.

    in the first two tests, we can check the half-kill chance when using different daggers. and in the third and the fourth test, we will see how str and dex affect this chance.

    in each test both of the attackers will use reverse [​IMG] 400 times.

    conclusion: none of the tested factors affected the half-kill chance.

    im pretty sure that something is wrong with this test. the lowest half-kill rate is 82,25% but it seems to be too much under standard conditions. besides, there used to be a common belief, that dex affects the frequency of critical hits as it is explained right here https://4gameforum.com/showthread.php?t=13923. does the situation remain the same? or something has been changed in the daggers blow mechanics?

    frequency of critical hits has nothing to do with half-kills, i do not see why that would have changed.

    i dont think the results of this test are viable/logical.

    here is how i have understood the mechanics of physical skills in relation to: vital spot, crit, half-kill and accuracy.

    vital spot
    a) vital spot = half-kill.
    b) vital spot: passives (dagger mastery 5% and maximum critical 10%) and maximum mortality can take you upto 35% if you play single dagger with gh or wr. this 35% is then calculated as half-kill rate from physical skills that can provide vital spot attack.
    b) physical skill land rate = 100% with sufficient accuracy.
    c) physical skill crit rate = dependant on dex.
    d) physical skill accuracy = accuracy is compared to evasion. the hit rate ratio formula is calculated from these.

    str/dex
    i wont go deeper into str/dex discussion but in short this goes that: str resets skill cooldowns what makes it possible to spam vital spot skills more often.

    question 1 wasnt answered. what about pve? does anything effect half kill chance hitting a mob?
