tags: [other items] [other game mechanics aspects] yul archers can pick either heavy or light armor to wear and to use. let's test then which type will be really alright for those who don't want to lose. purpose: to find out how different armor sets affect archer's performance. test 1: attacker: yul sagittarius lvl.99 equipped with either seraph light set enchant type, seraph heavy set attack type or eternal light set enchant type; full iss buff with warrior's harmony. target: aeore cardinal lvl.99 equipped with eternal robe set magic type, full iss buff with wizard's harmony in this part of the experiment we tested the efficiency of archer's attack in different armor sets. yul sagittarius used regular attack and the skill tornado shot lv.8 on aeore cardinal lvl.99. here are the results: test 2: attacker: yul moonlight sentinel lv.99 equipped with eternal light set enchant type; full iss buff with warrior's harmony. target: yul sagittarius lv.99 equipped with either seraph light set enchant type, seraph heavy set attack type or eternal light set enchant type; full iss buff with wizard's harmony in this part of the experiment we tested the archer's defense in different armor sets. yul moonlight sentinel used regular attack and the skill tornado shot lv.8 on aeore cardinal lvl.99. here are the results: conclusion: as you can see from the results of the tests, seraph heavy set attack type provides the best defense from physical attack. this set had also good figures in the test of skill attacks if compared to, say, seraph light set enchant type. if we take into account the fact that now archers use mostly skills as opposed to regular attack the choice of the best armor is simple. if we compare seraph heavy set attack type and eternal light set enchant type we'll see that seraph heavy set attack type still has the best defense against physical attacks while eternal light set enchant type is more efficient for attacks with skills than seraph heavy set attack type. if we take into account mages' domination in pvp in current chronicles, it is advisable to equip for a maximum p.atk. and get buffed with wizard's harmony in this experiment we didn't test the influence of attribute on the efficiency of attack and defense. you can find this information in one of our older experiments
perhaps to test this in epeisodion instead, because then all armor masteries will go up in pdef. right now it looks like archers should be in heavy + wizard, but is the difference still this size after update?
archer and heavy... add aoba + hp and shield. and omg.. we have tank 6 years i play archer. never saw circus like in core..
get on with the program, people will use what has most benefits... healers in hvy, feohs/tanks maxing mental attack instead of offensive/defensive stats, 99 daggers with s80 weps, etc.
yes, you have right. i was thinking that the dmg reduction difference will be higger than just 500-800, but based on that, just the hp bonus from light is better. on the other hand, for those who get archer as dual, and already have hvy seraph its clear that they can use it till get light without problem since the dmg done is even higger than seraph light (enchant type).
it's not just hp, its the other masterie bonuses: str + 2. max hp + 4783, p. def. + 89, p. evasion + 7, mp recovery bonus + 10% and chance of receiving critical attacks -35% when equipped with a light armor. spd. and p. skill critical rate change depending on dex.
target: aeore cardinal lvl.99 equipped with eternal robe set magic type, full iss buff with wizard's harmony _________________ thankssssssssssss
koreans are crazy... on the upcoming updates we won't know what armor to wear on our toon anymore, lol. healers/wizards were always on robe, tanks heavy, dds (archer, dagger) on light and since god came, everything changed, healers on heavy oo oo etc etc. petition to nckorea to bring back the normal armors like we used to know and not this *hit ! 239847 topics with "what should i wear on healer" blabla..
ok i read all previous comments but i have a question, why archer should wear heavy? i mean in new update archer will take heavy armor mastery or something? because if he dont get heavy armor mastery is foolish to use heavy on archer. i think foolishness like those archer or even healers wear heavy is totally wrong
really its circus...lets all put heavy then and go pvp.really?its already known that heavy give the most pdef of all armors!and its already known that classes who wear heavy while they shouldnt they lose some of their stats.you dont need to test that!so let the feohs then wear heavy too!they will lose some m atk and casting and mana but ofc they will have more p def!
it's up to developers to encourage different class armor types, and it will happen in a month (+1000 pdef in armor mastery for each classes specific armor, you will get more pdef with robe on healer than hvy, also, they made pvp armors be only used by 'proper' classes).
for dagger with s80 weap it's normal. cheap to augment. so you can get passive pvp duel might or reflect. add {pvp} and whuola. 20% or so pvp dmg. also ~5% from sa. and with s80 dagger you hit +/- same as with r99 with 2x sa link for test results dmg with daggers s80/r/r95/r99
that skill crit rate is not too big increase so its almost useless... (taking that hvy set dont give this passive and r99 la enchant type takes dex down) 4k hp during short fight can be crutial but compared dmg (lets say 2x non bufed archers goes killing each other, that would be -300dmg each time (having 30k hp taking more than 12 hits and u are on same lvl of hp as with light...) and if fight goes longer with healer around with heavy set u take less dmg that means u need less healing power, conclusion healer can heal other instead of u and u can make dmg... and try making test with dagger having full buffs and having dagger+focus.. count how much crits u will recieve during 1min with hvy and with light u will seee that "light armor pasive" doesnt give that 35% against those u have 500 crit rate...
excuse me sir, what??! o_o the only domination of typicial mage is laying on the ground 90% pvp (where 50% with nobless and 50% w/o cause dying too fast). and dont compare stacked mage with pvp set, cause it is not for everyone : )
ofc its not big, ppl dont add dex lol. experiment to add till atleast 70 dex, and you will see good difference. some sr based archer that can get 85+ is op. dude, wth? max hp depends of base hp, if you have more 4k hp its huge. the mastery gives -35% critical damage reduction too, and its not how ou think, it wont reduce your screen cr lol... no need pvp et. +6 set with hunter talisman is ok. just dont be a ******ed and be in open field without be in right places. and any nuker with brains makes fast self noble when get up.
