Allowed to replace systemmsg-e.dat?

hi,

i have seen that there are modified versions of systemmsg-e.dat floating around the internet that color the system messages.

for example you would see normal dmg text lines in another color than criticals, spell success or failures in another color, and so on.

it makes everything a lot more easy to read.

my question: is it allowed to install such a replacement?

not sure but i think any replace in any file is against the eula. but better w8 an official answer.

 

no you are not allowed to do this.

in fact, frost will not let you go through.

color messages are available only on private servers.

frost checks the whole "system" folder before game actually launches and will not allow it to load,

some ppl got some words underlined. how is possible to make it?

it's even possible to set a sound so for example when enemy resists debuff and you underline the text "has resisted" it will sound like "ping" aswel.
