which harm-ony will do no harm?
which will do good for yul?
    alarm!
a wizard one? how come? the best?
that's something that we need to test.

purpose: to find out whether warrior's o wizard's harmony is better for yul archers.

attacker: yul sagittarius lvl.99 equipped with:

[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

test: in order to find out dps for skills and regular attack the character attacked physical punch machine, damage variation was cancelled. we decided to do smaller selections (10 sets for each condition) in order to minimize the influence of critical attack variation on the results. the skills were used without delays. the results can be seen in the table below:

conclusion: as you can see from the test results, regular attack's dps is higher under warrior's harmony. but in the current chronicles regular attacks are rarely used in pvp. the results for skills are almost identical for dps under warrior's and wizard's harmonies, but if we take into account the fact that wizard's harmony gives the character extra m.def. points, we see that wizard's harmony is a better choice.

kind of a fail test. you need to test the amount of damage per time frame of lets say 30 seconds. doing 10 skills and summing up the damage, without tracking the time to do these skills, is not dps (damage per second).

anyways since the damage is already really close to warrior harmony and with wizard you get more m.def and it reduces the cooldown on skills a lot... it is much more worth it to use wizard if you aren't a lazy yul :)

although it may not be clear from the test description, each of the 10 sets consisted in attacking physical punch machine for 30 seconds.

anyway, thanks to your comment we noticed an inaccuracy in the final values in the table and corrected it. thank you!:)

ah it was not clear about the 30 seconds. thanks for adding that.

still same conclusion, using wizard will lower general dps a bit but will give more mdef/stuns/half kills/minds eye, more chance to get skill mastery or activating triggers like master's rage due to more skill spam.

thank you for conducting the experiment.
however, what i wanted to find out was the damage dealt over a given period of time. i remember emphasizing that when i suggested the experiment and i also was ready to give suggestions about how the experiment should have been done. many factors were to be taken into account which weren't: e.g. skills or normal attack during cool-down period of the skills you used.
if the experiment you conducted had been the one i was interested in, i would have conducted it myself. the experiment i suggested, however, is associated with some technical difficulties and that is why i needed your conducting it.
i'm sorry to say that this experiment neither proves nor disproves my hypothesis.

you seem to have written this without reading the answers to the initial post. the test does show the damage over a given period of time, and not the damage done with a fixed number of skills used. this may not have been clear from the initial post but it has been explicitly stated in insomnias answer (post #6) that the damage was measured over a fixed period of 30 seconds.

skills did less damage with wizard harmony, which was compensated by the lower cooldown time. the total damage over time evened out. this means that there is no direct damage increase to be expected from using wizard harmony. it is still recommended in the end, but for other reasons.

yes, i read that. yet again, even if the 10 sets were those of damage dealt over 30 seconds, there is no clarification about what skills were used. i assume they used only one skill and they waited for it to be ready for reuse. in reality, when shooting multiple targets, you use two skills (multiple arrows and heavy arrow rain) and when/if they are in cool-down, you may use either regular attack or other skills such as tornado shot (which shoots multiple targets, by the way), pinpoint shot (which has a chance to be a half-kill) and recoil shot (so, you don't just stand and watch when your skill is ready to be used).
critical shots were to be taken into consideration because i wanted to know what is the overall difference between the damage you can deal in 30 seconds and not the difference caused solely by p. atk and skill cool-down variations. in other words, i was interested in difference by all the characteristic changes the harmonies cause and that should have been shown by optimal usage of skills.
so, the experiment was not what i asked for.
but i do so appreciate that you clarified the results for me.

if gm could clarify which skill(s) was used that would be good to know indeed. also would be good to know:

    - was the test subject fully buffed or just with the harmony? (for 30 seconds test it makes a big difference i think)
    - were there any auto hits used in the dps test? i mean if you hold one skill without using force, you will end up with autohits while waiting for the reuse which can make a difference in dps.

in the initial post i read "the skills were used without delays.".
to me this sounds like they did not just use one skill and wait on its cooldown, but instead used (different) skills nonstop during the 30 seconds of "skill damage" testing. accordingly, there should not have been any autohits included in the skill damage test.

in my opinion the test seems to reflect a realistic situation pretty well, not just using one skill again and again, but cycling through the available skills. of course, i also don't mind any additional details on how exactly the test was conducted :)

yep. in mass pvp always go with wizard ;) then daggers and other archers can oneshot "wizzards" with bows faster. :)

p.s. i made my own small test. with that mighty wiz harmony skill reuse is just ~1second faster. ofc for minds eye it's good. drops down skill reuse with rapid stance, frint and wizard harmony from 10min to ~6,25min but for dmg skills.. well. it's your choice.

    -10% istina -20% wizard - 10% of archer buff = -40% reuse delay, who's sr have -50%. thats a lot
