looking for players who have very good computers, and have zero lag in mass pvp's, cs's, antharas, valakas mass pvp's etc.
i'm interested in setup's of these computer's, and what fps u have with your computer's.
videos of your computer's performance in mass l2 pvp's would be nice.

p.s. i'm not really interested in theoretical setup's that should be good to play. i'm interested in practical computer setup's that you are using to play and have no lags, or very little lags, ty ;)

the ue2.5 engine (modified ue2, dated 2001) is weak, that's all, bad communication client-server-client, range issues, synchronization problems, inability to use more than 1 cpu core (core number 0), inability to use logical threads, inability to make use of video dram and directx 10 or 11, should i keep going?

damm ncsoft is not going to upgrade the engine which lacks everything, nearly any 3-years old engine can do what ue2.5 can't even dream of, what a bunch of cheap butts, all about making profit, that's pathetic.

i can have 0 lags with my setup, but when a certain group comes near me i have server lag for like 1 minute. (i hope that is figured out soon.)

    core i3
    8gb ddr3 ram
    2gb nvidia gtx 650
120gb ssd 6gb/s sata == solid state hard drive is very important to make game load quickly.

with that info i can give him between 15 and 75 fps in cs :dd

also it all depends how trashed ur pc is, if u got 20 background apps. then gl, 8 gig ram wont help

running 4 anti viruses,650 million nvidia/ati softwares,2900 pc optimizers and various bull**** in the background will cause -800 fps drop ingame so your char will move backwards

    must have list :

8-16gb ddr3 ram (an xmp one with intel cpu)
    ssd through sata3
    normal isp (5+ mbps upload)
    battleping/wtfast

running hp 4530s laptop with corsair force3 ssd, i could get like 15 fps under min/med details w/ half range. i've got 100 mbps line but it doesn't help me avoiding internet lags during sieges or orfen battles. i'm also using lowerping.

ssd @sata2/3 i consider them as half ssd because they do performance similar to my standard hdd 10k rpm. i think only pci-e ssd counts.

i'm running on i7 quadcore 1st gen, 12gb ddr3 ram, 120gb ssd sata2... the game i run on minimal settings cuz i only have a nvidia 440 graphic core but it runs smooth. untill there is mass pvp ofcourse, then i just freeze and can't move until someone killed me. it's tested on both 8/1 mbit connection and a 120/10 mbit connection, both with 20-30 pings.

i guess ssd have higher iops then any hdd?

i've heard about ramdisk. it loads everything that is needed to ram and then you will have no graphical issue.
one problem: you need huge amount of ram (like 16gb minimum).

you need to ask someone who is using that how it looks like in real.

my point was theres not much difference when youre sitting in front of pc, i mean ssd sata vs wd veliciraptor 10k rpm. my brother got sata ssd and i got normal and loading times are almost the same. and creator of the topic was asking about practical thingies, no offence tho.

not " high end" , but can be still considered capable setup :

    i5 2500k @4.2ghz , m4 crucial ssd , ati 5850hd , 8gigs ram ,
biggest mass pewpews , in middle of the zergs , avarage fps ranges between 20-30fps

game settings : 1920*1080 / all details on low / view distance and npc limit on max , cloacks off

yes, this would be nice to test. but i guess processor and mainboard need to be very powerful too, to be able to process huge amount's of information that are sitting in ram ;) all who buy new (~1000€ worth) desktop pc system parts, should be able to test it ;)

p.s. if anyone has time, and have good or almost good computer, it would be nice to see video of computers l2 performance in mass (100-200-300-400 ppl) pvp's, and to see, how this and this, computer system copes with mass pvp's.
just trying to find out what kind of computer ppl need to run l2 in huge pvp's without lag (or at least minimum 30fps).
and how much this kind of computer cost's.
and also to find out if it is possible at all, to play this game with minimum 30fps in huge mass pvp's ;)

it's not the transfer speed that makes ssd faster then hdd. it's http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/iops and latency. if u see no difference between hdd and ssd (no matter if it's 15k rmp) then u have a problem.

oh and i forgot: ahci so important
