Losing olympiad points waiting on a match that never comes

signing for olympiad games sometimes results in losing olympiad points

-sign into olympiad
-the system mentions you are signed,
-then the match never comes (wait 10 minutes),
-you cancel oly
-the system mentions says you are not signed, yet you cannot sign again.
-you relog,
-you lost points.

this is normal. if you cannot sign after cancellation, that means you are still signed, and it does not matter if system says in system chat that you are not signed (its bugged for a very long time and no one fixes it). system usually allows to cancel only maybe first few minutes after signing.
and there was no match for 10 min probably because this often happens with class based oly, when not a lot people of same class goes to oly.

 

you loose point only if you already have count. it doesnt matter if you try to cancel olympiad if its the case and relogging will make you loose points.

you can cancel without problem only if you dont already have count (waiting to be teleported).


don't forget that you can easily check if you have a count by trying to open the party matching windows or by trying to speak in chat. a lot of people dont realise it but the message "1min before teleportation in olympiad" you get in system message come 1min after the "real" initial count - the one who prevent you from canceling -.

 

sadly he is right and it is a bug, but people will never believe anything until it happens to them ^^

 

this bug is since idk.. same problem was in hi5. you can't cancel. you didn't get count. and if you relog sometimes you lose pts.

 

i never lost points to this bug and it happened to me many times. but maybe its because i was lucky, i just made sure i didnt have count, spammed cancel and relog right after.

 

its not that i care that much about olympiad; but i do care to keep enough points for 50 starter matches :+) cuz i'm not a good oly player i need every point i can keep :+)
