Tyr Titan doubts...

first of all u need to know that i come from l2 na,since i know that in l2 eu not have a lot of bots. well,knowing this u must know too that i had a tyr doombringer in na l2 and i like it but for some reasons i stop play this char and come to eu. last time i play in l2 eu i lvl up a destroyer,so,is obvious that i want to know the differences between tyr titan and tyr doombringer caused i made the doombringer for pvp bonus passive skill,but for a misterious reason i never do a pvp... i follow the teaches of l2 wiki and it said that have the skills of rage,guts and frenzy of destroyer. is good to know too,if the tyr in l2 eu are the most loved class or the most hated or is balanced,cuased in na the tyr is not the best loved class but not the best hated class,there are a lot of tyrs,so i need to know if i need to create another class caused i dont find partyes when i awake my char,and i need to know the differences in other tyrs,caused i go with pole,not two handed weapon and is useful to know if when i awake i can do some work like dreadnought with pole. the question is,i can do aoe damage with pole with tyr titan like tyr dreadnought???? thanks in advance and sorry about my english,its not my native language -.-

 

i'll just say you that tyr isn't a class that is searched mostly because they lack of damage. and so most of the people want to make damages, so they don't play tyrs.

i do not know about the real difference between tyrs but i think shiny if he sees that will be able to answer you properly.

 

but the tyr have honor and duty for his country... joke im playing tyr caused i prefer play in face to face combat,anyway i have a yul sagittarius in na server too,and an iss,but i prefer tyr

 

tyrr's are not loved here too, we have the same l2 as american servers... no one want's to take tyrr to party, they [forum censoring] in pvp and pve.
with titan best is to use two-handed sword, and pole is good for any tyrr when they need to aoe mobs.

 

a smart tyrr can be really usefull...the sad thing is that the majority of them are like this :



for example a good tyrr dreadnought could be awesome in cr aoe parties...they can put in perma stun situation the mobs if they want... but the lack of such tyrrs made ppl think "tir no damaz"="tir uselez".... ignorance in core is such a cancer for the community....

 

haha tyrr are hate in this place too, until gf nobody care about tyrr, you can't kill rbs unless you do the party by yourself or know the pl, because ppl won't invite you since othell/wynn are better dps (that's what she said...).

anyone underestimating the value of a tyrr in pve is a fool. the tyrr is sort of "good at everything, best in nothing" kind of char. you won't have the dps of a dagger/archer on single target mobs, nor you will have the aoe power of a mage in aoe parties, no matter how you set it up. however, making the right choices for your tyrr can greatly improve your pve or pvp performances. more or less, you have the following options :

tyrr duelist/doombringer/gk : high burst single target dps.
tyrr titan : high dmg/high crit, 2-handed swords, can aoe with spear somewhat effectively.
tyrr maestro : is that even a tyrr ? he can craft.
tyrr dn : high aoe capabilities and survivability. low single target dps.

you have to figure out what you want. none of those are able to perform properly in both pve and pvp at the same time.

on the finding parties part :

as a tyrr, you will rarely find parties for anywhere. get used to it. there's always someone better at what you do, but you can effectively replace just about any class in any place, i.e. :

you can replace tank in hb mage aoe - pulling mobs.
you can replace archers/wynns in single target pve, raids , etc. it requires you to have a 2-handed sword with focus, to deal somewhat comparable damage, but you're always tankier than them etc. etc.

my advice ? play whatever you like the best. the tyrr has a lot of customization paths that you can take and you can excel at whatever part of the game you want, just not in all of them

@marquel i am playing tyrr since the start of god ( ~3 years ), before that i played ~5 years duelist ( 2004 - 2009 ) on nc.
@op : ask more specific questions and i will be able to provide more than general blabla as answers

 

i prefer my destroyer/titan/tyr with pole,so is a good idea when i awake put a spear to the tyr titan???? i like to do kartias with aoe attacks... maybe if a tyr dreadnought are in party we can do a lot of aoe damage in kartia... is better a tyr titan with pole or with two handed sword???? i like to be the second spear user like dreadnought. my attacks can transform from single target attack to aoe attack like dreadnought while i equip with spear????

 

you should have both anyway. pole for aoe and 2h for boss. else people will cry why you are not using 2h on boss, also you will need that 2h for single target mostly everywhere. tyrr is not a cheap class so prepare yourself. mostly a tank/dd mix. i always liked tyrrs at soa, gf, soh, they have a good survivability, crowd control, quite good dps for mass. but it's not an f1, f2 mage. you have to know your skills and use them in the right time. actually it's a fun class.

 

well,as syzgod said, you should have at least 2-handed ( focus ) and polearm. just about any tyrr can do aoe dmg with a pole, especially in kartia, where mobs basically come to you. the problems with the other classes ( except dn ) are 2 :

1. no pulling ability before 97 - power provoke is good, but only at 97. you can't effectively pull mobs in soa, gf or anywhere, before you hit that level.
2. only one spamable aoe skill ( erruption ). while the damage from the dn stun is not huge, the stun itself greatly increases your survivability in aoe'ing.

all in all, a titan with polearm is a viable choice, as long as you still have your main weapon and there is someone else to pull mobs ( tank/dreadnought ).

 

funny thing but on na tyrr are often taken on db coz they make ultra damage on boost, ofc stacked well with crit build.

 

so,two handed sword is the viable way for dont be quicked from kartias and other things???? caused ive equiped with 2hsw at destroyer and i do more damage on one target than the spear but i dont do aoe damage

 

yes, that's why you should have 2 weapons : 2-handed and pole.

everyone says that tyrr has to have 2 weapons. pole and 2h. pole is obvious and 2h for rb's and so on because it has focus?
if that so ron's dualblunt with focus will be as good as r95 2h? it looks much better and it is dual so more patack in case of duelist?

 

titan = 2 handed weapon or spear
duelist = dual weapon
dreadnought = spear
grand khavatari = fists
maestro = all of above,weapon and shield
doombringer = all of above
every tyr can equip with all head to head weapons but every tyr have specific passives for certain weapons. in case of duelist,dual weapon. personally i dont like dual blunt i prefer dual sword if im duelist,but im titan i prefer 2 handed weapon or spear. see description of all awaken tyrs and u must know all weapons can equip per tyr. in case of tyr titan: http://l2wiki.com/tyrr_titan in case of tyr duelist: http://l2wiki.com/tyrr_duelist , u can see the description of this two tyrs: titan: "specializes in two handed swords and spears" duelist: "specializes in dual swords" so yeah i think more p atk for duelist.

and i repeat,i dont have sufficient diplomas for take spear and 2 handed weapon.

 

maybe you didn't understand what i said :

if you want to be effective, you need to have at least 2 weapons. don't expect to get them with diplomas, earn some adena and buy the 2nd weapon.

 

start with 2h for diplomas. make sa 150 or 300 attribute then buy spear.
