Can't connect to a character

hello,

after logging in from different location than usual (and different wifi), i can't log in on my character that's situated in aden. i'll log in, i'll appear, but can't do anything (open mailbox, or even l2 store that is just full of empty sockets) and after a few moments i'll get the disconnect message.

the one at the same account, situated in giran, can be logged in just fine, can move, everything ... i tried to restart my computer and wifi connection, but it doesn't look like it influenced anything at all ...

can you please give me any clues about what to do or where the problem is? if it would be a firewall, then i wouldn't get past the login server i think ...

after some more digging through the forum, i tried the ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew from command line thingy i found here and it seems to be working so far ...

it's weird that the problem occured with just one character on the account and not all of them though. but maybe this will help others who will experience the same issue.
