    hi,

before anything else, i know that ertheias get their dualclass straight at 85 lvl without exping and so there might be a difference. yet i would like to know gm's/developers opinion on this ... just to sate my curiosity at least.

when i reawakened my dual class from iss to feoh soulhound, i found out that quite a few skills are missing ... not sure if on purpose, or it is a bug, so i'm asking here. sorry if the whole topic is inappropiate and senseless, but it just doesn't give me any sense.

lightning barrier - it shouldn't be erased by any skill after awakening, yet i'm missing this one in my skill list. a buff that gives chance to paralyze everything that attacks me is imho pretty useful. soulhounds learn this skill at 80 lvl.

enlightenment - after awakening it's supposed to be exchanged for wizard's spirit ... but this skill is not amongst my skills to begin with. i still didn't learn wizard's spirit ... and honestly, i prefer bigger matk boost and less costly skills before what wizard's spirit gives. soulhounds learn this skill at 81 lvl, but i can't learn this skill even from the forgotten skill (tested. maybe those work only before awakening?)

protection of rune/magic/elemental - i believe those should show in passive skills, but again, i have none of them. sh should learn them at 83 (i think?) lvl. (just a side note, i reawakened my dual class from iss to soul hound and those skills were present, triggering well. is that only a soulhound issue then?) getting a chance for +15% mdef is really useful too. besides, those skills are not erased by any of the awakening skills either.

final form - this one is not important, but to make the list complete. maybe it's not a bug, since it's a race transformation, not sure how other races are on terms with this one ... but i don't have this one either.

thank you very much for your replies and time :)

i don't think you know 100% how awakening works.

let me put it like this, you can have 0 skills learned at 85, press button to awaken, and you will immediately get all these skills:

it's not about what is replaced or not. when you click the button, your skill set is replaced by another skill set and then you can choose awakening skills to learn, but some skills you don't get. this is specially true for 3rd class skills (shilen templar doesn't keep pain of shilen/spirit of shilen/touch of death/deflect magic/anti magic armor when awakening to sigel shilen templar, even before learning any skills)... picking dual class follows same logic. you keep any skill that you would keep if you picked normal awakening process. and yes final form is racial skill.

i'm only playing here for less than month, so thank you for clearing some of the issues for me :)

still ... when i hit "reawaken" button, i had "all" the old skills learned immediately and then was offered an option to learn after awakening skills. some of them were replacing the old ones, some of them not. it wasn't instant thing, that i would do a click and then got all the after awakening skills appropiate of my dual class level.

point is, i had "all" the old skills and then, should be able to choose .... or there should be an information regarding to this somewhere. i didn't find anything related to this to be honest.

also, i still don't see the lightning barrier in the list you posted as a skill to be replaced ... neither those protections. as mentioned above, when i took iss dualclass (also at 85 straight after taking it) it did have those "protections of .... " why feoh soulhound don't have them, when he was obtained the same way? or they are just not listed in passive skills and i do have them anyways? (to be a real niptick, i don't see enlightenment listed here as well, but we both know that skill is supposed to be replaced.)

p.s: it's totally possible i'm getting this completely wrong and if so, please excuse my lack of knowledge. i'm not saying things are wrong this way, just wondering, cause it simply makes no sense to me.

if u awaken a character normally, there's a list of skills that aren't replaced given in the npc dialogue. some skills are replaced by newly learned skills, and you can choose to learn them or not - and some are just gone by design. for example, doomcryer's gate chant. is that a bit more clear? :)

sanek: ah ... so some just disappear even if they are not replaced by anything? that's sad ... but thanks for that explanation. :) if it's like that, they should really put some info somewhere ... t_t

anyways, if it's really like that, please moderators, lock the topic :) looks like the fault and misunderstanding was really at my side. :)
