L2. ini and options.ini

i have a question regarding to these 2 files: is it legal to customize them in total commander (to remove the frame when i play in window, to increase the range of name display, etc.) or the frost guard will detect me as a cheater and ban me?

it's illigal unfortunately, and yes, frost will prevent you from connecting/ban if it detects that these files were modified.

 

you can mod options.ini as much as you wish, but won't achieve anything usefull in it. most of those features require modification in either l2.ini or user.ini, but you won't be able to log in later.

modifying client equals breaking eula agreement. you might be facing problems with your client and frost.
i would not advice doing this.

 

you can edit the ini without problems, its easy to cheat frost since he is only checking file crc, also you can just swamp the ini after the check is done. there are many ways to use custom system on innova servers

 

if client modification in any way will ban/block your account, there is no possibility to be unbanned. please keep that in mind.
