hi me and a friend are looking to come back and play lineage 2 its been a while. my questions are. is this server still alive and well, if so how many players are on at peak and quiet time. is pvp good here or not? if so what classes do well? will i find it hard or if i spend some time and maybe a bit of money i will be ok? thanks in advance, only reply if you have something nice to say don't want negative people posting.
no **** it's free. if i wanted to log in and "see" every free server i was thinking of joining i would be downloading for weeks and waste valuable levelling time. thanks for the hopeless reply. exactly what i didn't want.

well alive or not, depends of ur pov, but is the most populated server that exist from all "officials", so if u wanna play l2, this is ur last call. note: server dead.
there aren't available official numbers about population, but there is almost always some1 for your daily activity, be it raid, farm or instances. if you manage to get a cp, or at least make some party-buddies, you will enjoy what the game has to offer. this comes down to what you mean with "being ok" and how much time/money you are talking about. i would say that with just couple hours daily + some spare time like in weekends or holiday you can get at least 95 pretty fast (around 1 month), but regarding gear, while basic r grade is provided with mentoring you will need some adena to upgrade to the proper grade gear, which means either much much grind (=time) or some money investment, which may be high or low depending on your resources. while € 8,99 pa is imho almost mandatory, if you can afford to throw in some extra ~ 30 you could get a solid gear base up until 99 (which will take quite some months, if not years). of course some €€€ will get you anywhere and anything way faster, but that's up to you.
thanks for the positive input guys! i was thinking of rolling a necro i have logged in and got to lvl 20 with some enjoyment which is good news. i have seen a lot of people need healers though is it hard to lvl a healer or should i roll the necro and sub class a healer? just don't know if a healer will be fun but it will get me in some good clans/parties to be able to double box or roll a good character with my new friends.
if you don't know already god chronicle introduced the "dualclass", which is basically one among your subclasses who can get to max level. the only difference with the main class is olympiads. however, since you'd have to level up the subclass anyway, making a healer main, dual or subclass doesn't make all of that difference. the only shortcut would be to level up a new toon with ertheia class, because they will get a level 85 dualclass already; the downside is they cannot have more. while it's true that assistant classes (healer/buffer) are always much needed, you won't have problem finding party and clan even with others, so you should really just play what you like most and not worry about that.
rolled a healer, am lv 42 and on the up rise! i see healers get nukes? how do i acquire this? thanks airx very helpful information appreciate it. i always roll dd and to be honest i wouldn't mind trying something new if i don't like it i will just start again i guess. but i'm sure i will.
