Hello. I need a small clarification

hello people.
i used to play l2 years ago and quit it around the time when god was released.
i kind of miss l2 (nostalgia) so i wanted to give it a try again specially for the new race. but i have a concern regarding mentor system. before i quit i tried playing on na, but since everyone i knew quit l2 i did not have any friends to mentor, other players would ask adena for being a mentor (what could a newbie offer?)and others would ask you to be play around 15h a day to get your lv. done asap.
it got really frustrating since it was much slower without it so i kind of rage quit

i found lot of nice guides around the forum which is great since i missed so much time it looks like a different game now for me (thanks to the people that put the time and effort in them ^_^ ) but these mentoring thing for lvl and getting r-grade after i hit lv. 85 i recall that was important.

so my question is if there is less frustration to lvl up these days without mentor or if i have any chance overall to find nice mentors around the server that are not ridiculous as the ones i mentioned above?

when i lv up i change my mentors atleast 10 times per charr... soo, it is really eazy to find them. if you just want them for xp buff, open party matching write in it for example ''lf mentor'' and in 1 min you should get an invite. if the next day you log he isnt online, kick and do the same thing... ^^

and, no1 in here as i know do ask for adena or any min hours play time. if some1 does, just keep looking for another one. i'm sure you can find a normal one pretty fast.

normal one would ask about your online time to fit both of your times, unless you look for 24/7 mentor. but if so, you should say it. not all people are always online, some people have work, family, free time and then lineage. my experience is, it is not worth the cost of electricity because people are as they are (core innova)

sorry for missing to welcome you on server before but better late than never. so... welcome on core! if you need any tips you can write here on forum or ask me if you want ingame. i made 1 guide for leveling before on the forum and it is still here. it's updated and if you need any clarrification ask me on that very thread.

yes, i've already seen your guides , they are very helpful.; thank you for making them. i have so much to learn about the game again. i feel like a newbie once more xd i'll try to search everything i need but maybe i'll ask a small help here and there if i cannot find what i need (or if my google skills are failling me, lol :d)

ah, your enthusiasm is admirable! being unaware and new to the current chronicle really brings joy in one's gameplay, i almost remember what that feels like.
but then again, after some time there are no more new things to learn, on the contrary - neverending daily loop of dull activities, which you "must complete today" (mostly with people that are just as disgusted from it as you are and lack desire even to communicate in party chat), because tomorrow they will reset and all would be inevitably lost in time.
biggest joyfulness drain comes around even later, when you get your levels and set your mind on having fun and being competetive in open field pvp or olympiad and realise that you haven't used quite as often as you should have the l2 store button, even though game staff have made it impossible to miss it, leading you to have below mediocre gear, resulting in total lack of oppurtunity to stay alive or frag someone in pvp.
it is all just a big, sad dead end, but i guess everyone have the right to discover it for themselves

 

i understand what you are saying but i'm not new in the mmo games system for the last 10 years...aion, guild wars 2, archeage, wow , tera.... played them all for a good amount of time (some much more than others ofc) and yeah, end game is repetitive everywhere and cash shop influence; every single one >.<..but .it's about how much you enjoy that game.
but getting back to l2 brought me that excitement again. it does not matter how much i grind, i just really like the game and i'm sure that's not going to change so easy :d
