so they removed light armor mastery and for defense it's better to use a heavy armor now.

anybody got any smart ideas making an r-grade hybrid set? (robe gloves/shoes + 3 parts of heavy?)

i was thinking about immortal gloves + shoes (blessed and +4-+6) with combination of twilight heavy upper+lower+helmet (prolly bound atm...?)

or is it still better to go either full twilight robe or full twilight heavy?

this is for a party setup... solo instances you still need a full robe set like before... :p

    storming up some ideas now!

now u need casting speed. if u want combo - u loose 12% cs cause only 5 parts of robe gives u 15% cs at all. so till 95 i prefer not wear combo, on 95 i ll wear heavy set.

i played 1 week in heavy set+s duals+4 after they removed the light mastery.
i must say that it is really good for farm. you have like 3.5 p def with knight and good amount of hp/cp/mana. i was using only instant heals like panic/balance/party.
after this week i went on robe set b/c of the pvps my group was constanly making.

imo: if you are not making any pvps stay in full heavy + s duals+4 till 95, then change to robe. (you are capable of keeping your group alive in any pve with full heavy - 1080 cs on de healer - no dyes.)
if making alot pvps - robe, no doubt.

it depends on the race a lot. as light elf i have 1.6k casting speed in heavy (acumen weapon, wizard harmony), with some robe parts even more . with higher level buffs and dyes maxing out casting speed shouldn't be a problem (if you actually need it since reuse is the main issue). i don't like duals cos of less m atk and it is a really big difference compared to r mage weapon with the amount you heal (chain heal and balance excluded ofc).

my setup will probably be one of the two options: full heavy or heavy with some robe parts (since u get some casting speed bonus even with 2 robe parts of armor).

you wanna lose -45% p.def (from knight harmony) to play with heavy set + wiz harmony (sense???). also i don't know if you noticed the price of dyes but they are not rly cheap ;). i prolly will try also to use heavy but i don't think it will work fine, i'am gonna tell u my impression when try (if try :d)

    it really depends:
    - enchanter with rythms or no, going straight knight with no skill reuse decrease is quite limiting
    - your opponent in pvp (fighers vs mages)

whole discussion is based on end game i think and there i think most people will (sooner or later) have dyes.

also take in consideration the difference in p def on heavy and robe. for example twilight heavy bp 335, tunic 168. try to add 45% to that 168 and tell me whats better. ofc its not as simple as that, but don't think 45% that knight gives is that much compared to using heavy/robe. i still need to test but i think heavy with wiz will give better stats (at least in my eyes) than robe with knight (again much depends on enchanter, best is still knight with rythms but imagine pdef on healer with that setup at end game hahahah).

i'm 89 (awaken from se) and going to invest in tw. my pt pvps quite often.

assuming there is a second healer with tw robe in party, what is better for myself for pvp:
    a) tw heavy with wiz harmony
    b) tw robe with knight harmony ?

most elemental resist (wind/water/fire/earth), since no one is putting holy./dark anymore.
