Antivirus customization

hello, dear users!
this topic is created specifically for those who experience problems with antivirus customization.

issue: certain antiviruses block frost security system.

if you had a similar problem and you resolved it, you are welcome to share screenshots and a sequence of operations with me in pm. in case your solution works efficiently, it will be published in this topic.

comodo internet security

the required minimum setting

1.run comodo via icon at the control panel
2.select defense+ tab and then defense+settings field

3.find execution control settings tab and click exclusions button

4.click add in appeared window and choose browse

5.select the path to lineageii.exe file (c:\program files (x86)\4game\lineageii eu\frost\lineageii.exe by default) and drag it in the right window by the arrow button. click apply

6.make sure there is lineageii.exe in exclusions. click apply once more time

the additional settings
1.select firewall tab and click define a new trusted application field

2.in the appered window click select and then browse

the game processes should be added to the trusted applications:

3.in defense+ tab find trusted files field

4.in the appered window click add and then browse

5.select the path to lineageii folder (c:\program files (x86)\4game\lineageii eu by default) and drag it in the right window by the arrow button. make sure you tick include files from subfolders too and click apply

kaspersky internet security
1. run kaspersky settings via icon at the control panel (rightclick on the icon and select settings)

2.find section protection center on the right side of the window and select web anti-vius. after that click settings on the left side of the windiow

3.find safe surf tab and click exclusions

4.click add in appeared window and type

7.in exclusion rules tab click add, then tick object and click select object. find lineageii eu folder and click ok. don't forget to tick include folder

8.select trusted application and click add

9.add the following apllications

10.don't forget to tick everythere

11.apply settings

avast free antivirus
1.run avast free antivirus settings via icon at the control panel
2.find real-time shield menu and then click expert settings

3.select autosandbox and remove the tick opposite enable autosandbox

4.go to exclusions tab and add the following folders:

click ok
5.select web shield menu on the left side of the antivirus windows and then click expert settings

6.in exlusions tab tick urls to exclude and add the following website addresses:

7.in the same window tick processes to exclude and add:

while selecting processes don't forget to set the format *.*
click ok
8.select script shield menu on the left side of the antivirus windows and then click expert settings

9.in the exclusions menu tick urls to exclude and add the following adreses:

click ok
10.select behavior shield and click expert settings on the right side of the window

11.click trusted processes and add the following files from the game folder:

12.click settings menu on the top of the avast free antivirus window

13.find exclusions, click browse and tick the folders:

after adding all exclusions reboot your computer

microsoft security essentials
1.run microsoft security essentials via icon at the control panel (rightclick on the icon and select open)
2.select settings tab

3.select excluded files and locations menu on the right side of the window and click browse

4.find lineageii folder and click add. also you can add 4game folder

2.in the appeared window click '+' sign opposite 'computer' tree node. select exclusions (computer\antivirus and antispyware\exclusions path). in the main area click add button

3.add the following folders to exclusions:

avira free antivirus
1.run avira free antivirus settings
2.choose section pc protection on the right side of the window and click on system scanner field. after that click configuration as it's shown on the picture

3.click '+' sign opposite 'realtime protection'. find exception tree node(realtime protection\scan\exception). then in the main part of the window click '...' button to select processes which will be omitted by the realtime protection. after you find needed files click add

4.please add to the exclusions the following files:

bitdefender antivirus plus 2012
1.run bitdefender antivirus plus 2012 via icon on the control panel (rightclick and select show)
2.find settings section and click on its area

3.select antivirus on the right side of the window and then exclusions tab. make sure ‘activate exclusions for files’ is on

4.in the exclusion tab click excluded files and folders

5.in the appeared window click add button

6.after that browse lineageii files

7.in the same tab click excluded processes

8.in the appeared window click add

9.click browse to add lineageii.exe process to the exclusions. make sure allow is chosen

10.the following processes should be added to the exclusions:

click close
11.select privacy control on the right side of the window and click wtitelist in the antiphishing tab

12.add the following url to the list:

click save
13.select firewall on the right side of the window and click application rules in the advanced tab

14.click on the add rule button

15.in the ‘add application rule’ window click browse
select the following applications to add them to the trusted applications:

16.make sure that there are ticks opposite every points (trusted, home/office, public, untrusted) in the ‘network type’ line

17.to exit bitdefender antivirus plus 2012 click on the ‘home’ button. then close the window
