German version of Lineage 2 announced!

fellow players!

we are glad to announce the good news: two months after the launch of the european free-to-play service in english, we confirm german as the first localized version of lineage ii. the german service for the competitive massively multiplayer online role-playing game lineage ii is expected to go live this spring!

lineage ii is being localized for different european territories in several stages, with special care and attention given to each language, including native-language player support and community management. this will happen with the launch of german-localized server. before the official launch of the german version, we will invite players to take part in the beta testing process and provide valuable feedback. the first phase, the closed beta test, is currently planned for march.

here is what jens schà¶nherr, head of german community management for lineage ii said on the matter: “we are really proud to announce the very first german version of this popular mmorpg, that offers such an amazing, vast world and gaming experience for both pve (player versus environment) and pvp (player versus player) fansâ€.

we want to ensure you that we will localize the game into further languages throughout 2012. more details will be announced in the coming months here on forum.

what for a new server?

will it be possible to transfer chars to new ger server?

 

have u ever heard about opening new server and transfering on it characters made on other server?

 

what the hell? german version first? i think the most players on core are from poland...

i think this step is totally useless!

1. most of players like to play on international servers.
2. many clans on these international servers any national clan and those clans many times are in war with eachother.
3. i think useless cut to more and more little group the lineage 2 population, first of all the european one.
4. we can see well, that not enough communication between the ncsoft and innova, if it would be than the innova would know what contents will come to lineage 2 and why their localizations will have negative effect to the player base of innova.
5. better if you follow how the ncwest plan to translate their client to different languages.

 

when we will get harmony update?

 

by "localization" they mean game in that language, not new server only for germans in germany ffs.

as if there are so many german players playing lineage..
as rapidblades wrote the best would be if you just translate the client into many languages.

we respect every individuals language, however naito, outside of the specific language sections our rules state to post in english.
