As a healer you'll have to relay purely on parties.

As far as farm goes, I assume you mean solo farm, for that I'd advice to get a wynn or feoh dual class (wynn is a better choice for a brand new player).

I'd also advice against iss dual-class if your main is a healer, not because of being unable to farm/solo, but rather because as iss you shouldn't run around in robe and a mage wep, they require different items. Of course if money isn't a problem, then do whatever is to your hearts desire.

Arguably healer is easier to play now than it used to be in the past, it is at least definitely much easier to play for PvE part, most of the times it's just either tree or balance, with watching over ppls MP and pressing cele/rebirth when needed, sometimes cleanse/purge.

Also, remember that almost all the time, party xp > solo xp. So it's often better to have a class often looked for, instead of a decent class for solo but that will be ignored by parties.

I advice you to take feoh as dualclass (people running in robe (as uniquename said, it's better to focus on only 1 stuff) are only wynn, feoh and aeores (and sayha, but that's not an option here)), as the gameplay is way less boring than wynn, plus in pvp, the feoh will be way more useful/fun than the wynn.

If you want to solo, you'll need an iss anyway (boxed isn't a problem, sonatas lasts 5 minutes) to have some buffs on.

    What about me?

If you gonna play healer start with learning what the debuffs do and how their icons look like. It won't make you any good but at least people wont facepalm on situations when you shout for purge when the other healer is paralyzed, like some top healers from top clans.
