Hi, I have a friend who is thinking about to come and play. He wanna focus on oly mostly, then pvp and pve. So what do you think is better to do oly nowadays? (between Othell and Yul) Thanks!

farm l2store till u spend 20-50k euro like 21stcentury and u can make even "crafter" to kill everyone or anything p.s yul > othell , take yul
Except on lower gear and small pvp, othell will be better than yul. Once you get gear, Yul surpasses everything at the moment though.
Othell is better for 1v1 and gank and by extension olympiad, however, yul is better for sieges and GvGs. Both are important for 7v7, though Yul is more important at the moment, as before 101 skill feoh was main 7v7 DD, but you still needed an othell, the same applies with archers now. This is assuming equal gear and not taking into consideration player/team skills. However, with that in consideration, I'd argue that yul is harder to play in oly in comparison to a dagger, though both are played properly only by few people on the server. While both also requires a heavy investment to perform at their peak, regarding competition with most of the server (not top CP players), dagger costs less. Advice your friend to play what he prefers more regarding his play style with these points in consideration.

@QUinter Do you think it's not few in comparison to the server as a whole? But do I really have to name drop vllm, Harvey, Troy, Sprtcs, V77, etc to start some meaningless argument? It's my opinion, I prefer people who know the game, classes and have proper reaction and required experience for a vast amount of situations - that is what I consider playing properly, this applies to any class. If you don't require that from a player for him/her to be good or for the class he/she plays to be played properly - that's fine. To each his own.
it wasn't that argue just was curious who u would say few are good on that class .. can't i be interested in other people opinion ? besides i thought u gonna say some new names , those names kinda obvious never seen harvey video of pvp so i have no idea ,but i guess u are in same clan u know him ..
