Can't start the game, "launcher has stopped working"

    after deciding to play lineage ii again it seems that the game doesn't want to start, i've tried re-installing it twice but i'm getting the same error: http://i.imgur.com/6bgwu.jpg

    what av/firewall you use? please check configuration.
    try delete extenision and added it once again.

    thanks for the prompt reply. i'm not using an av, just a firewall program (comodo) and it was disabled when i launched the game.

    u need put your 4game folder on exception of comodo antivirus.

    did just that but as i said, i'm only using the free firewall and it was completely disabled when i tried starting the game.

    delete your frost folder. use the fix tool in the web page. start the game.

    thanks for trying to help but i'm still getting the same error, got no idea what could cause it. i'll try to completely uninstall the firewall later and will report back.

    it starts with the firewall completely uninstalled.

    ok. i've read that comodo have some problems with too many software. i'll include this solution to my guide. thax a lot.

    defence+ -> software execution control -> shellcode prevention tuning is required for comodo because of frostcollector.dll injection thread.
    there are the same effects with any other tool with system api patching and hooking (in our launcher ofc)

    i've reinstalled it but disabled "defense +" completely, no issues encountered as radix pointed out.
