It’s high time we started a mind-blowing event with old-school mechanics!

Note: all unopened Christmas Talisman Packs shall be deleted on 14th of February 2017. We will make an additional announcement on the forum/play page as well as in-game.

1. How and where do I get nectar?

Hunt monsters in the world of Lineage II and get nectar as additional loot. Remember, that you won’t get any nectar if your character’s level is higher than monster’s level by 9 or more (dark blue).





2. What do I need to grow a squash?​

You will need squash seeds. There are 2 types of them used for growing small and large squashes. Find Santa Claus in any settlement and exchange gathered nectars for seeds.

Exchange rate is the following:

• 1 Snowy Squash Seed = 15 Nectars
• 1 Large Snowy Squash Seed = 100 Nectars

3. How shall I grow a squash?

So, you have a seed! Click twice on it in your inventory, and a squash will grow. The size of each squash depends on the seed, which is being used:​

• Snowy Squash Seed = Snowy Young Squash​
• Large Snowy Squash Seed = Snowy Large Young Squash​

To grow a young squash, you will need to use nectar with it – 5 nectars should be enough. Each use of nectar determines the chance of growing a Roten (currently Defective), Ripe (currently High Quality) or Royal Ripe Squash (currently King).

Each use of nectar is followed by a distinctive visual effect that lets you define what type of squash is about to grow: blue spark (on the screenshot above) means that nectar use is successful. Smoke above the squash, animation, similar to Aggression skill, means that the use is unsuccessful.

The more times you use nectar successfully, the higher is a chance to grow a Snowy Royal Ripe Squash.

Moreover, during the growing process a squash will encourage or mock you, depending on your results. The squash’s reaction will help you understand whether a process is successful or not.

There are several types of a squash. The bigger is a squash, the higher is a chance to be rewarded.

As soon as you have grown a squash, smash it and get your prizes! It is hard to smash the big squashes on your own, so you might need the help of your mates.



Don’t forget that, young squashes stay for 3 minutes after it is summoned, but а ripe (when nectar has already been used) – only for 1 minute 30 seconds. So, pay attention and don’t miss your squash!

You can use any type of weapon for a small squash, however, only a special weapon can be used for the big ones.​

4. Chrono Weapons

To smash a big squash, you need to use a special souvenir weapon, which creates alluring sound after each stroke. You can obtain a souvenir weapon for 1 Nectar items from Santa Claus. There are 5 types of Chrono weapons:



Chrono weapons will stay in the game after the event.


5. Holiday Buff

You can also receive a great Holiday Buff from Santa NPC for only 100 Nectars! You can get it any time without any restrictions! Buff lasts 2 hours.









After smashing a squash you will receive one of the following rewards. However, there is a chance that a squash can be empty.

Tips:

The event will last from 20.12.2016 till 10.01.2017. You will be able to get Nectar from 20.12.2016 till 03.01.2017. NPC will stay in the game for the item exchange till 10.01.2017. Event items (Nectar, Seeds) are going to be deleted during a maintenance on 10.01.2017. Chrono weapons will stay in the game.​

A chance to get Nectar increases x3 every day from 18:00 till 02:00 server time.​

Known Issues:

1. The actual names of all Squahes (NPC's) do not match their names in item/skill descriptions. We are going to receive an additional client patch during this week, and we shall inform on when it is available, so you can just update your client (Full Check button on 4game page). There won't be extra server maintenance, just a client update.
2. Holiday's Blessing buff description does not display a % sign.

 

Is the event item drop rate increased in prime time?

 

Yes, as usual a chance to get Nectar increases x3 every day from 18:00 till 02:00 server time. I'll add that to the post.

can a party members pick drop from large squash? or " It is hard to smash the big squashes on your own, so you might need the help of your mates" means that with "korean random" they can loot all the goods?

 

Unless it's stated otherwise, yes.

 

Nice nice!!

 

In party anyone can pick up drops, so if you worry for your reward, don't invite untrusted people into party (well, as in daily). Random/Finders-Keepers rules apply here as well.

If other people help you to smash the squash but without party - the char who summoned the squash will have priority for several seconds as with usual drops. Applies both to "solo-squashes" and "group-squashes".

Another event ho supose to take away the atention from the real server problems. And of course some1 will say to me, that this events it is about luck. Good luck with events, then, when you will wake up for real , lesser money this server will make.

 

chrono dual macaros (smth like that) from previous event can be also used to open Squash? or only new weapon from npc

 

I dont know if this is normal or Bug.
i bought 20 snowy squash seed and Half come 0 drop !!

 

Please update then Event Description because it's a very important information that is missing .

 

letters event rewards was idk.. disaster.. they look nice in list, but overall from ~3k words only shadow ingot was worth something. everything else eod, ge, r gem, and some enchants.. now you can open even empty "pumpkin" ?

Anyone else here is geting mad koz is hard to see the event drop? You kill the mob and his body stay in the ground hiding all what have droped. So you are forced to stay in the place pressing "pickup" wich waste time and is totaly annoying once you dont know what have droped. Is so hard to do something like that in L2?
