Thats kinda complicated because technically selling l2store is RMT as well. Just buying stuff from other players is bad, but from innova its fine
ahh i thought it was plp spamming programs and exploits and sell in game stuff for profit irl. cuz if so we wanna make full PK pts and **** up their programs would be fun to see something like this, clan recruiting full PK chars and they go raid some spots from time to time :>
Difference is Innova is a legal company, paying for the license. So whatever you do or achieve ingame is their property which you may use for your entertainment. Selling their property is illegal, just like when you lend your lawnmower to your neighbor and he attempts to sell it. There is no moral duality in it simple law and order. Personally I would really wish to see bigger game publisher companies to add RMT to their games and close this 'gray' industry. Blizzard tried it few years ago (D3 Real Money Auction House) but as far as I remember there were problems with the technical side and took too much effort to validate all the payments so canceled.
d3 failed at incorprating everything that made d2 a classic, as soon as u put the option for ppl to put themselves above others the game is donzo period this happens with every game since this business model exists they all decline eventually. the massive majority of ppl want to play on fair grounds
I do know difference, i used small amount of sarcasm. Technically innova owns nothing in this game - agreement between innova and ncsoft was never out to public so thats just thoughts. I wish to see that agreement one day, because hell, you guys are getting scammed by koreans :] About legal RMT - lineage is game that wouldnt survive such thing. Imagine that person from dubai where avg. salary is much higher than avg. salary in europe/usa/******* starts buying adena/items on servers. Currently the P2W is mostly gambling like these tarrots, caskets or other gallups and **** like that, so you can either have luck and get ****ton of items or have no luck and get some ears for 500 €. Now when the prize will be 100%, that wouldnt really stop botters from selling adena - they would still sell it cheaper, but also players with platinum visa would dominate the server and make the game dead since noone wants to die from a guy who plays a week and has **** better than players with 5 years+. Just look at the Ramona right now, Mctrooper has full dark set, boss jewels and hes still selling l2store for adena like mad. Starboy fully geared 2 or 3 chars because his dad has cash (if u watch his streams u'll notice hes less than 20years old). So yeah, legal RMT in game would be a very very bad idea.
