we're witnessing a lot of account hacking recently, so we've decided to enforce security for all European users. We'll be switching on "Trusted PC" option for everyone who already has an account in L2 EU for a while. It will be performed in stages. People registered in 2011 will get it first, then 2012 and so on.

"Trusted PC" is a security feature that you can switch on yourself here: https://eu.4game.com/settings/security/. When it is on, only PCs from your trusted list can load the game. To make any PC trusted you need to add it to the list and confirm with code that can be sent to your email (less secure) or phone (more secure).

If your email or phone listed in account info are not available anymore, please send a ticket to our support service to change them:

FAQ:

Q: What if I want to secure several accounts, but only 1 mobile phone number?
A: You can use email (we'd recommend gmail.com as it allows to link several email accounts to 1 phone number so that you can always be aware of the possible hacking attempts)

Q: What if I don't get an SMS with a code?
A: Check your phone's memory to see if there's enough space to receive a message. If this doesn't help, contact the support service and use an email as a way to verify PCs.

Q: I play from home and work, using several PCs.
A: You can link up to 5 PCs to your account.

 

So it's not only that people with 5-10 active accounts will be ****** up because they need to link all their accounts to mails, but CP's sharing accounts won't be able to share them anymore since only 4 people (excluding yourself) can have access to the account, great

 

let's remember that sharing your account is prohibited in the first place and not discuss this further.

 

Question, will there be any option to switch off manually the trusted PC option or it will be forced for everyone to use it?

U act like all our Goverments, if u wanna force us to use more "Security" such as "trusted pc " or new Personal ID with Fingerprint, ofc for ur own gain ( in this state prolly less boxing > more accounts or what ever u win with this ) then u just tell us theres an Security issue lol

What will happen if a "pro" gamer changes his computer parts lets say once per month, or even twice , it will prolly generate a new HWID or how ever u know that its the "Secure Comp" , what should he do then? Contact support every 2 weeks and wait 10 days on reply?

 

If you change your PC, you request a new code to your email or phone, enter it and keep playing.
You need to contact support only if you cannot access your email or phone. In all other cases you just get a new code (as easy as for your banking account code or Steam code) and keep playing.
If you want to change your active email, you don't need support service - you can do it yourself.

 

Increase this ammount. Will solve part of the chaos u just created

 

Thats good , but how is the computer market as secure? If i change my IP adress will i have to renew everytime? I hope not cuz i have daily new ip adress ! ( i hope its rly hwid based )

what about add pin option like in ncwest? or like long time ago was option for password on play button..
now when few rich kids got hacked duo playing in l2j x100500+ why everybody must get this punishment?
as for me.. i have few accounts of friends who quit this game 1-2 years ago, and last contact with those friends was also 1-2 years ago.
and they probably forgot even those accounts data.. i mean emails, and email passwords, because they was created JUST for those accounts, not linked for main email account...

and for contacting support... it's same as visit doctors in my country, you come at time what was set for your visit, wait 2+ hours, wish them long trip to place where you really wont go, and go away without visiting doctor just because he is busy, drinking coffee.. (this happened last week for me).

 

In most of european companies this step is always optional, even RIOT isn't forcing a system like this I dont understand why we should be forced to use it

 

This is same fail system of ncwest?
Because ncwest have one like this, who tell "save computer" and ever i restart internet or internet down need to get a new code, because he dont save computer, only IP of internet (All internet in brazil are bad and dont have fix IP, ever you restart or get internet DC this IP change...)
If u guys copying the fail system of ncwest, what brazilians do? if internet change ip 5 times?

So what TheHoder clan will make with this new system? counting full clan need to put securit PC on riordian house(clan rulez) and 1 they selfhouse? they will enable to share Acc only with 3 more players?

How do you even get "hacked"..? any pro-hacker interested in l2 accounts? or just players sharing acc BSing you? Why dont they get anything else "hacked"? Just L2? Or is 4game leaking?

There is most likeley 2 ways to get hacked, first u shared ur acc info
2nd innova got "hacked" and lose our log in infos
So in the end they punish us for their own security problems and for dumb ppl ..
